Learning To Live Spiritually
A Beginners Path
by Ricky Manna
This guide is actually a prequel to my previous release called A Journal of God’s Breath
.
In that release I made 52 weeks’ worth of ‘intentions’ to guide the reader to spiritual discovery and experience. That book was molded out of my personal experience using intentions on a weekly basis and having phenomenal things happen to me each week I used them.
Then it occurred to me after writing the Journal of God’s Breath, what about the beginners’ interest to learn how to live spiritually?
I had personally started out on this spiritual quest almost forty years ago, hoping
there was something out there that could help me live a better life. However, what I discovered and experienced as a result of living each intention on a weekly basis far exceeded my expectations. However, in the release A Journal of God’s Breath I was approaching the reader as one who already had faith or a belief in God.
So I’ve been preparing my thoughts and words on how to approach a person who may be new to the idea of living spiritually like I was, years ago. Who might not yet have a belief or faith in God. What may be comforting for you to know is this works even if you don’t believe in God! As long as you have a willingness to believe in the possibility that there is something out there that can help you, this will work for you. I promise that it will because it has worked for many, many others. This has even worked for atheists who were at least willing to consider it with an open mind. It does not mean that I will try to convince you of anything. I will leave that up to circumstances, or should I say coincidences. The only requirement be that you are openly seeking truth, not looking to disprove something. The Universe in interested in helping us, not proving itself, as you will find out if you proceed on this journey.
For the reader I would like to express that this is not about being religious. The terms are similar but hold totally different meanings. Living religiously, as I have come to know it, is by abiding by a lot of rules. For example, no meat on Friday, always go to church on Sunday, etc. Things that we do. In a sense, measuring up to a standard by maintaining a status quo to these assigned guidelines.
Whereas living spiritually is allowing yourself to be guided by your own inner spirit (once it has awakened) to help you go with the flow
of life and love. Then once you investigate other spiritual books and ideas, your own spirit will help guide you once it has become a balanced part of your makeup as a spiritually alive person.
Thousands of books have been written addressing the belief that we are triune beings. This means there are three important parts to our makeup as a human being. These are body, mind, and spirit. In order for us to function properly as a human being these aspects of our self must be equal or we become ‘unbalanced’ and will seek to find something or even someone to help balance us out. The truth of the matter is though, it can only be a spiritual answer that will fulfil us and bring us into harmony with ourselves and our surroundings.
God himself is shown as being a triune being. He is known as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And because we were made in His image, we are triune beings as well.
I don’t want to get too far into the belief of God and His nature so you, as the reader, can make your own discoveries in meeting the Creative force of the Universe. Yes, I am saying this guide will bring you to spiritual discoveries and even spiritual experience if you let it. It will be very exciting for you.
As I mentioned earlier, when I started I had no real belief in God but I sure hoped there was one! Especially that He was a loving one because this world and I were having a lot of trouble getting along.
I wanted to put a small quote here I recently found from a famous actor that shares what it feels like to have everything you want and still feel like something important
