Introduction

Prologue

Colton helped Tara get her bag down from the overhead bin. He had refused to answer any questions about his home and business during the trip. Tara started asking him questions when he knocked on her door to pick her up. Despite his refusal to respond, she only paused occasionally and never truly stopped. After he got their bags in the trunk, Colton buckled up and settled into the seat of his car. With one hand on the wheel, and the other arm draped over the back of the seats, he turned to her and said, I’ll tell you one thing. My home is about forty-five minutes away. As I told you before, you have to see it, I’m not telling you anything until then. If you ask one more question before we get there, I’m turning around and taking you back to the airport. Tara took a long breath and Colton asked, Is this another question?
