    Chapter 1

Lark sat in her seat waiting for the dean to finish his speech. He was so long winded it was ridiculous. All she wanted to do was walk across the stage, get her diploma, go home, grab her suitcase and head to the airport with her friends so they could fly out to South America.

Lark and her friends were spending part of their summer vacation in the Amazon rainforest in South America for the next three weeks before heading back to the real world and starting their respective careers.

She had earned a bachelor degree in early childhood education and social work, Kate in phytotherapy, Scotty in journalism, Beth fashion design and Michelle a BA in nursing.

Lark currently worked for a daycare center and for as long as she could remember she had always enjoyed being around children, helping them, teaching them and decided to make a career in helping children that couldn’t help themselves.

She had a job waiting for her with the State Division of child welfare as a children’s social worker, where if there was a complaint filed she would go to homes, make sure they were clean, food was available, talk with the family and children to make sure they were being taken care of, if not she would place them with better homes until the parents could take care of them properly.

Will he ever shut up? God I wish I was leaving the country after this. You’re so lucky Lark. Candice, another person who was graduating told her.

I know. I’ll be glad when he’s done as well. She told her with a heavy sigh.

Ever since she, Scotty, Beth, Kate and Michelle were children they had always wanted to visit the rainforest, live amongst its indigenous people, see all the unknown animals and plant life and swim in the Amazon River.

They had scrimped and saved for this trip for the past three years. It was hard finding a guide to take them inside the jungle and actually stay with them the full three weeks, but they had found a small touring company who arranged the trip after wanting to know everything about them.

Lark and her friends were all without family, having grown up in the same orphanage so that all they had was each other. They were family and always stuck together no matter what life threw at them.

Alright, let’s get to the diplomas. The dean announced.

Finally. She grumbled, watching as the dean took a stack of diploma’s and sat them on the podium, his assistant holding the rest in a container of sorts.

A few hours later they were on the plane headed to South America and she could hardly contain her excitement. She kept glancing out the window at the land below them. It was magnificent. The white clouds were thick and beautiful reminding her of cotton balls, but when she was able to see the ground below them she gasped in delight. The world below looked like a huge puzzle put together with browns, greens and grays, with houses and building spaced out, but when they flew over the ocean she was stunned at the wide expanse of water, the color so deep a blue it was like nothing she had ever seen before.

Scotty, look, it’s beautiful. She called excitedly, yanking on his arm and pulling him over her so he could look out of the window at the scenic view.

Yea, it’s great baby, but if you don’t mind Lark, I am going to stay in my seat away from the window because you seem to have forgotten I am afraid of heights honey. He said gulping, face paling to almost alabaster, a light sheen of sweet covering his face.

In her excitement she had completely forgotten about his Acrophobia, his fear of heights. She couldn’t believe how hard it had been to get him to agree to fly in the first place. She settled back in her seat glancing at her best friend. He was tall and lean with wide shoulders, a firm muscular build, thick red shoulder length wavy hair, and a square shaped face containing gem green eyes, high cheek bones, with bow shaped lips reminding her of Tom Welling.

Scotty was beautiful, and to top it all off gay. She used to have such a huge crush on him when they were growing up, then he came out of the closet and she was crushed, but realized that she would always have him in her life and that’s what she really wanted anyway.

Lark turned her attention to Kate who sat across from them breathing into a bag, her thick glasses covering half her face, her light brown hair pulled up into a messy ponytail and noted her olive skin tone was paler with stress. Beth was wiping her face with a cool wet towel while Michelle dozed in front of them completely oblivious to her friend’s anxiety.

Her friends were all different in appearance. Michelle was short and Asian. She was heavyset with a wide round face, though very beautiful. Beth was tall and statuesque with blond hair cut in a pixie style, baby blue eyes and clumsy as hell. Kate was average height, wavy brown hair and eyes with a heart shaped face and big eyes that fit her face perfectly. Then there was her, the only Indian of the group. She was of average height with a slim build, light honey toned skin, pale brown eyes, loosely curly hair falling down her back. She was told often that she resembled Freida Pinto, though she didn’t see it.

Lark was leaning back in the seat when the plane began to shake with turbulence and squeaked in alarm, grabbing Scotty’s hand and squeezing it tightly until the turbulence evened out and the flight became smooth once more.

It’s ok honey, calm down. Scotty told her, rubbing her hand absently as he closed his eyes, taking quick breaths to ease his own panic.

Lark was just starting to doze about a half hour later, her head feeling slightly achy when the flight attendant came by for the fourth time in an hour to check on them, though she always looked at Scotty, even when she spoke to her. She should tell the woman he didn’t go that route but thought better of it. Scotty was gay, but he didn’t flaunt it. A person would never know it from his mannerism or speech.

So, I was thinking maybe we could get together and have a drink sometime while you’re here. I don’t fly back out for a couple days? she asked him, fluffing his pillow before stepping away.

Oh, I’m sorry sweetheart, but I’m currently in a relationship. He lied smoothly.

The attendant was not to be deterred. She glanced at his fingers, not seeing a ring and smiled. How about we become friends, have friendly drinks then. I don’t see a band on the ring finger yet, which means I still have a chance right. She smiled and winked at him.

Lark watched Scotty’s face for his reaction and saw his eyes cooled a bit, though his smiled remained. Thank you for your attention but I am not interested. Now if you don't mind I would like to take care of my girlfriend who isn’t feeling well. He said lifting their joined hands.

The woman gave her a fake smile that was more of a grimace then turned and left, her shoulders stiff.

Well gee, that was so unprofessional. I hope she doesn’t spit in my food later. She laughed, only half joking.

If she did that I would have her fired. I taped our conversation with my cell phone so make sure you check your food thoroughly.

Lark nodded, leaning back in her seat. She’d had that done to her before. She was lucky she had looked at her burger before she had actually taken a bite, wanting to make sure it had been done correctly and saw a fat wad of spit between the lettuce and cheese, had shot up out of her seat, barely making it to the bathroom before vomiting in the nearest stall.

Scotty had been with her and pretended to be her boyfriend to make a waitress stop flirting with him. When she had gotten back Scotty was talking with the manager and when he’d spotted her he had pulled her into a tight hug still talking with the manager. The waitress had been fired on the spot.

She felt someone shaking her arm and opened her eyes, looking around, forgetting where she was for a moment, caught up in the past.

Lark are you feeling ok? I thought I heard Scotty say you weren’t well. Beth asked, looking at her with a frown.

Yes, I’m fine. It’s just mild a headache. She told her, closing her eyes against the bright light shining from overhead and wincing.

I have some Advil extra strength if you want some. She offered, opening her purse and taking out a pack and handing them to Scotty then retook her seat.

Lark thanked her, took the offered pills from Scotty then lay back in her seat hoping they would land soon. Her ears were aching, her eyes watering and her head hurting from the pressure and altitude in the plane cabin.

When they finally landed some hours later she was totally exhausted and just wanted to sleep, but of course Kate wanted to go out that night since they would be meeting up with their tour guide early the next morning.

Lark piled her hair up on top of her head, leaving a few curls down on the side of her face, put on a pair of black straight leg jeans with boots stopping just above her thighs, a white loose fitting halter top with a black belt just under her breast and a half length form fitting jacket. Next she did her make-up lightly, accentuating her eyes and put on red lipstick to finish the look. She was a beauty, no doubt about that she thought, rolling her eyes in the mirror before turning to go.

Lark was of average height with a slender build, curvy waist accentuating her full high breast, flared hips and plump bottom. She had many offers for dates but turned down most guys who approached her.

Lark was the female version of Scotty when it came to random people approaching you for dates and being persistent about it.

Scotty was wearing loose fitting jeans and a black form fitting shirt making him mouth watering. Beth was wearing a short blue mini dress with three-inch silver high heeled shoes making her stand over 6 ft tall. She looked like a goddess. Kate was wearing loose gray slacks with a tight black v-neck shirt and Michelle had on an A-line white skirt with a red blouse and red boots.

    They all looked fabulous.

When they made it to the club it was in full swing. It was dark with strobe lights flashing, people dancing and gyrating to the music. Some of the moves people were doing would be illegal in the states she thought when she saw a couple actually having sex while dancing on the dance floor.

    This was too wild.

They found an empty table in the back and took their seats and a waitress promptly appeared in front of them, pen and paper at the ready.

What can I get you guys? she asked in heavy accented English, a smile directed at Scotty making her role her eyes in annoyance.

They placed their orders then turned to look around the club. She loved to people watch and this place gave her plenty of opportunity. As she watched people dancing and talking she felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise. It felt like someone was watching her with heavy intensity. She let her eyes roam around the hot club and saw two men standing in the corner watching her. They were tall and built like line backers with short thick necks and heavily muscled arms, chest and torsos. They had similar looks as well.

Both had black hair, dark tan complexion and amber eyes that seemed to glow in the dark room. When they saw her watching them they broke away from the wall and came towards her table.

Lark shifted in her seat as they came closer, her body coming alive at the sight of them. They were gorgeous with a capital G and all man. Just her type.

Wow, that’s some mouth-watering sight if I ever saw one. Michelle commented, watching the men coming their way.

Lark fanned herself, glancing over at Michelle then back to the men. You’re telling me.

When they were standing right in front of her the one on the left bent and sniffed slightly, smiled, then asked her to dance in Spanish. She answered yes, quickly getting to her feet, forgetting her earlier tiredness and followed him out onto the dance floor.

When the man pulled her through the crowd and out onto the dance floor she was shocked when the other man closed in behind her, gripping her hips firmly, he pulled her against his cock which happened to be fucking huge and rock hard, while the one in front pulled her up against him as well, also sporting a huge hard on so she was sandwiched tightly between two aroused men.

A slow song came over the speakers and she found herself enveloped even tighter between the two men and found she both liked and missed this feeling. She had been with two men at a time more than once but it had been months since she had last been with brothers Tom and Evan, who both had moved back to Colorado to help their father on his horse ranch when he fell ill. Since then, she hadn’t been with anyone, deciding to
