That’S What You Think: What Did You Expect?
()
About this ebook
I tell how I thought and the life I got because of the way I thought. A person that should have lived a positive life lived a defeated life. My attitude was always I can't do the things the Lord purposed me to do. I am not that kind of person.
When you fail because you thought you couldn't what did you expect?
You got what you expected.
This book tells how used a massive heart attack that left me 70% disabled to turn my life around.
Because of my mental disabilities, it should be impossible for me to write. With a patient persistent attitude, I showed that I can and will do the thing the Lord purposed me to do.
Disabilities only have the power you give them.

It Was For A Purpose On May 13, 2006 I had a heart attack that was suppose to take my life. Even if I did survive I would be like a vegetable as what my family told. It would have been an end to a very defeated life in the purpose the Lord had for me. The devil meant it to take me out defeated in the purpose the Lord bad for me. The Lord has used it to take me in to the purpose and plans He has for my life. It has taken me from very negative attitudes, positions and postures in the things the Lord had for me to do. To a very persistent person in attitudes, positions and postures in what the Lord has for me to do. Yes the heart attack happened to me and it is a great testimony of what the Lord can do. But I have found it was also a set up to position me and prepare me for the things the Lord has for me to do. It is not all about what the Lord is taking us through it’s all about the purpose the Lord is Taking us to. What the Lord has taken me through has so positioned me for what God has for me to do. Your attitude always determines the altitude you go in your purpose. Your position always determines your condition in the purpose the Lord has for you. It’s All In The Attitude

That’S What You Think - Bill Graybeal
About Me
In order for you to understand the things I write about I think it is necessary to tell you a little myself. In May of 2006, I had a major heart attack that has left me legally 70% disabled. For the most part, my disability is in the mental area. I have a hard time remembering things. So when I write I often repeat myself. You will find mistakes all through this book.
When I started writing I looked at all the mistakes I was making and often thought what’s the use? I told myself the reasons why it was going to be impossible. A mental handicap that is greater than 70% is a very hard thing to deal with.
I have often thought I wished the Lord would have given me something easier to do. If the Lord would have given me something easier to do I would not be as strong as I am today. I do not dread the fact that I have to deal with my disability everyday. I look forward to the fact that I will face it and show myself that I can overcome with patient persistence.
Before the heart attack, I was not serving the Lord. I was a sex and porn addict. It was an addiction that I have dealt with off and on since I was 18 years old. I was 56 when I had the heart attack so that is a long time. I was not taking care of my body as far as the way I eating. A total blockage of one artery in my heart was the cause.
Because of the way, I was living before the heart attack my recovery has been fourfold. The areas I had to recover in are mentally, physically, spiritually, and I am a recovering sex and porn addict as well.
I was raised in a wonderful Christian home, so I am extremely mad at myself for living the way I did for so many years. The reason I lived the way I did was in a large part because I did not think much of myself.
I ask you to bear with me as you read this book. There are indeed a lot of mistakes. I have learned that mistakes are the way we learn to become better at what we do.
I have heart disease, and pre-diabetes on top of having mental and physical disabilities. I have to work very hard to keep everything under control. Working as hard as I do is the fun part of showing that I can do things in spite of my disabilities.
Because of the way, I was taught by wonderful Christian parents I have in me the attitudes, I need to become all I can be. For the life of me, I cannot understand what having disabilities have to do with it. I can do all the things the Lord purposed me to do in spite of the disabilities. Of course, I have to work harder than most people because of the them. That makes me tougher than most people.
Keep a good attitude and you will not believe the altitudes the Lord can take you to. A patient and persistent attitude is the pathway to the exceeding abundant life that the Lord has for you. Never give up or give in, and you will live that life.
Forward
We are often stopped from doing the wonderful things the Lord has for us to do because of the way we think. The way we think about ourselves as well our circumstances keep us from thinking the way the Lord purposed us to. What you think you say and what you say you end up doing.
When your mind is full of an, I cannot attitude your mouth will be full of it. If it has enough of a strong hold in your life, there is nothing, anyone can tell you that will change your mind. I have been there and done that so I know from experience. Others can encourage you and try to get you to understand. However, nothing will change until you change the way you think. If you think, you can’t you can‘t. You thought it you got it. What did you expect? You got what you expected.
I lived almost all my life with an I can’t attitude. I had a positive encouraging atmosphere in my home as I grew up. My momma, in particular, was always encouraging no matter what. Her encouragement had no power because I was afraid to act on it. Encouragement is like faith. Until you act on it, it will have no power in your life. My thinking was always, yeah, but what if what you are saying does not work.
Of course, it is not going to work. I have more faith in it not working than I do in it working.
With every word of encouragement, there were doubtful and fearful words on my part. I had no confidence in the encouraging words I heard so I never acted on them. The word confidence means faith and trust in.
What you have faith in works. If it is in the negative that will be working in your life. No confidence in yourself or in God will rule your life. You will be what you think you are, and you will do what you think you can. And if that is nothing that is exactly what you will do.
Where your confidence is there will you be also. Whatever you have confidence in will work in your life. If your confidence is in the negative way, you think and say that is the way you will live. Confidence means believing in the power of. So when you believe in the negative, you are giving it power to work in your life. Trust me, I know and could tell many stories where my negative confidence destroyed many things in my life.
The way you live and face life is all in your attitude. Your attitude is based on the way you think. The way you think determines the way you speak and then the way you do. This book is based on my life and how my thinking defeated the wonderful plans the Lord had for me. I will show you how I turned it all around. It was done with a change of attitude. A change in the way I think, say and do. It was done by changing what I thought about myself. Always putting my confidence fully in God and myself. Furthermore, by putting faith in all the encouragement that I received from my parents. And starting to think, say and do the way I was taught.
When you have no confidence in yourself, you have no confidence in the wonderful things the Lord put in you. I changed my confession from I can’t, and I am not therefore, I won’t. Now my confession is I am I can therefore, I will. And nothing will stop me.
Where Your Confidence Is There Will You Be Also
If you do not have any confidence in yourself, you stop the plans the Lord has for you dead in their tracks. Your confidence is determined by the attitude you have about yourself. Our lives are not determined by what happens to us. They are determined by how we react to what happens. A positive attitude is the catalyst that can spark and create extra ordinary results.
There was a person in my life who always said I could not do the things the Lord purposed me to do. No matter what I tried, I could not get away from what this person said about me. He was there when I went to sleep and when
