    About the Author

    Preface

I have been a prolific writer for over 30 years now. It all began with God speaking to my heart one day when I was just 19 years old. From that day until this, I have written down every single word I have ever heard inside. Throughout my lifetime, there have come many answers, directions and guidance from listening to that inner witness. There have also been a number of books produced from this; something which God promised to me more than 25 years ago. That if I would be faithful to write, one day I would be a published writer. God’s promise has been fulfilled already; and His Word has never returned unto me void. There have been many, many lean years; but His Promises have remained: unwavering, unconditional and everlasting.

I wish to honor God in all that I do; in everything which I write for Him. I long to comfort the hurting souls who do not feel free to share their inner pain with others. I long for the words I pen to make a difference to lives unseen; to people I may never know or even know about. I want my purpose as a writer to be fulfilled. I want to be a blessing not only to those in need; but also to the God whom I serve with all of my heart.

It is my intent that those who read will find help for their own hurting hearts; insights into how to grow closer to God in the process; and comfort from the pain which inevitably comes from living in this world. It is my sincere desire that those of you who read are encouraged, comforted and given direction which you seek from the hand of God, through the words which I have penned over an entire lifetime. May God’s richest blessings rest upon you; and may you feel His Spirit near to you always.

There are many people in my earthy lifetime who have changed my life in some small way; some changing my heart in larger ways. But there are three servants of God, whom I believe, were sent to this earth in order to be His witnesses. To share that He is Lord; He is the Healer; He talks to His children; He longs to love us unconditionally and share His supernatural riches: by way of visions and visitations. These three people have left permanent inroads in my heart and spirit; having taught me more by example than those in my very midst on a daily basis. They stand up tall before all men, never denying their beliefs or experiences. They dwell with God in their hearts; and the Spirit lives within them and shines from without in all ways, in each and every day.

Kathryn Kuhlman, although known as controversial, was the one who introduced me to a real, living, active relationship with the Holy Spirit Himself. She taught from the pulpit, and I saw by her living example, that what I desired most in this life was to know the Holy Spirit in the way that she did: in truth; in reality; her companion; her confidante; her confidence. A decade later, along came Dottie Rambo. Her example was also one of supernatural experience and relationship with the Holy Spirit. She shared so much of her visions from God and visitations from angels. I am truly in awe of her, as a Christian being of God’s light, because this is who she truly is. She was given at birth a God-given ability to write songs conveyed to her from the Spirit of God. They number in the thousands today. They are sung in all denominations, literally all over the world. She has left such a remarkable legacy to those wandering in this world; teaching by her songs and also by her beautiful example that one can follow Christ regardless of what happens in their lives. She has followed Christ through each and every fall; every struggle; every sorrow; all her sufferings: physical, emotional, mental. And yes, the world around her watched to see her fail. Yet, through more than 25 years, I can honestly say that she has overcome the trials that have beset her; and come out more victorious and radiant than ever before. She is a glowing witness to Christ. She bears about herself the actual Light of God.

Then, one came, who stands tall in God’s will. He is my age; and he was called to service at about the same time when I was. However, I said no, I cannot do. Benny Hinn said yes, Lord; whatever You want; wherever You wish me to go; I am there. He has been a constant, radiant example of what happens when you totally give your own life over to the Holy Spirit of God. He is known more as a healer of God’s children; but he is also a prolific writer; an astounding speaker; and preacher of God’s Word. Again, his example of the living relationship with the Holy Spirit has taught me much more than I could have ever learned from anything else he could ever do. To stand in his services is to stand literally in the very presence of God and all the angels. There are just no words to describe what it feels like to have Heaven descend upon you, in earthen vessel, while you are still residing upon this earth. It is no wonder that people come in with serious illnesses and leave, totally healed by the power of God resting upon them. This is done because Benny Hinn moves over and allows the Holy Spirit to use him as an instrument of healing. It has nothing to do with Benny himself. However, to look upon Benny’s face is to see the Love of God shining forth from him; an instrument of healing to the needy.

These three people enlightened my understanding of the realm of the supernatural. At each decade of my life, they taught me by example the living realities of the Holy Spirit. They shared boldly of healings; of visions by God and visitations by angels. They talked with God and He spoke back to them. My deepest longing in this world was to know the Holy Spirit as these know Him: in complete openness, honesty, reliance and trust. I feel I am who I have become because of these precious saints and servants of God. They opened windows and doors to pave the way for millions of hungry souls to learn the truth about God’s ways; the sacrifice of Jesus; and the continuing, abiding presence of the Holy Spirit within all believers. Because these three servants were strong in the faith of God, giving thanks always to Him, they taught me by example how to desire a firm relationship with the Holy Spirit. He has been my teacher; my confidante; my confidence; my assurance; my wellspring for more than 30 years. These people walked publicly through the land mines of criticism, ridicule and derision for the sake of all those who desperately needed what they had to offer: a risen Lord; a loving God; a gentle Holy Spirit. To teach; to guide; to direct; to deliver; to heal; to hold our hands every single step of our journey. Because these three imparted spiritual truths, I learned to practice the presence of the Holy Spirit in my daily life. Because the Holy Spirit descended to remain upon earth, after Jesus ascended to His Father in Heaven, I have been redeemed; taught; healed and delivered from each and every trial and torment which tried to beset me. And most importantly of all, because Christ lives, I know without any doubt, question or reservation, that I too will live also: permanently; freely; everlastingly; Eternally.

    FIRE ON THE WALLS

Picture with me a huge red brick wall in front of you, which extends as far left and as far right as you can see. Face this wall, and envision a fortress directly behind you. As you face this wall, you can see the wall is apparently obstructing your vision, for the wall is taller than what you can see over. Suddenly, angels materialize in front of you; all aligned side by side, the entire length of the wall, facing the wall as you are. They stand between you and the wall. They have no weapons of any kind, but appear to be poised and ready for action at the command of the Lord. Then a Holy Fire materializes atop the entire length of the wall. Suddenly you are elevated to where you can see over the top of the wall. At this level, you see figures advancing towards this wall, carrying weapons of every kind and description. But as the Holy Fire appeared, these figures drop their weapons and start fleeing back the way they had come. They run everywhere in panic, in shock, and in dread fear. This wall of fire sets to flight all the spirits of the adversary. Suddenly, the wall de-materializes in front of you; and all that is left is the Holy Fire surrounding the angels, who in turn are surrounding you. You can see the army of enemies (the spirits of the adversary) fleeing in a thousand directions before you; in the face of the Holy Fire and the angels which stand guard round about you. The Fire of God’s Spirit establishes you and the power of His Word causes you to walk in victory.

These walls represent our problems, situations and circumstances. We stand in front of our ‘walls’: our outward appearances that we see with the natural eye; and God sends angels to protect and care for us in our need. When we get past the outer appearances (walls) which we view with the natural eye, and look with the eyes of the Spirit at the principalities and powers of darkness we are fighting (adversaries). Then we see the hand of God (Wall of Fire) at work to bring us through. In essence, as we stand in front of our circumstances (walls), God sends

His angels to minister to us. The Holy Fire on the wall is God’s provision overriding the circumstances. The figures are adversaries; spirits behind the situations working against us. As God’s provision (Holy Fire) overrides our circumstances (walls); and we view our situation with the eyes of the Spirit and not with the natural eye; we are able to rise to the occasion and discern who our enemy is. When we recognize this, then the power of God working in us puts the enemy to flight. The walls disappear and the fire of His Spirit establishes us. The power of His Word causes us to walk in the victory He has given to us. For God hears our cries in the midnight hours of our lives and He sees our tears. He sees the walls that obstruct our vision; the walls which seek to bring our souls into captivity and bondage to the fear of men, the cares of this life, and the snares of the devil. He has come forth to bring deliverance to the captives and to let the oppressed go free. His angels encamp round about us to give us protection on every side. He will be unto us a Wall of Fire; to set our spirits free, to burn out the dross in our lives, and to set to flight all the spirits of the adversary. For by the fire of God’s Spirit, we shall be established; and by the power of His Word, we shall indeed walk in victory. (Ez 3:14; Rev 20:9; Is 24:15; II Kings 6: 15-17; II Chron 32: 7, 8; Ps 91: 7-11; Ps 34:7; Exodus 23: 20-22; Zech 9:8).

    THE PROMISE OF GALATIANS 6

For every man shall bear his own burden (individual responsibility for attitudes and actions). Let him that is taught in the Word (led by the Holy Spirit) communicate (speak forth in truth and honesty) unto him that teaches in all good (profitable) things. Be not deceived (mistakenly led in personal belief). God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows (sends forth to others in actions and attitudes) that shall he also reap (get back abundantly in return). For he that sows to the flesh (natural temperament; carnal nature) shall of the flesh (as a result of his own efforts) reap corruption (decay and loss of all that’s important to him). But he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit (not through his own efforts) reap life everlasting (a life that is rewarding and truly satisfying). And let us not be weary (discouraged; disheartened) in well-doing (for the cause of Christ). For in due season (at an appointed time) we shall reap (the fruit of our labors), if we faint not (give up in defeat). As we have therefore opportunity (as God opens the doors to minister), let us do good (with intent towards healing and reconciliation) unto all men; especially (most important of all) unto them who are of the household of faith (those whom we are bound to in loving relationships). (Galatians 6: 5—10)

    END TIMES

God deals with people as a result of our prayers; but He will not force His Spirit upon those for whom we pray. As long as God makes a way for truth; and there’s rejection of that truth; there will be no deliverance either. God will not force people to serve Him; either in lordship or salvation. But God sometimes will exercise His sovereignty (despite man’s spirit), when it becomes necessary for the welfare of the mass ‘body’; or multitude of people. Often this requires sacrifice of one for the well-being of many thousands (as Jesus did for us); and it will be carried out, despite the will of man to the contrary. God’s judgment of man’s hearts is based in light of His Word; and their personal acceptance or rejection of His Son. We don’t live unto men; but unto God.

Man’s spirit destroys himself by using increased knowledge without the balance of God’s character and wisdom; coupled with motives to selfishly pursue power and set themselves up as rulers over all authority. Relying on their own resources and intellect; man is bent for certain destruction at his own hands; not at the hands of God. Sin brought death into this world. Man willingly chose sin; with its guarantee of death. Rather than choosing God’s way; with its guarantee of life. Man must bear the repercussions of his own actions. When God lifts His grace; then sin will prevail. When God lifts His mercy, the ruler of this world can take charge of men’s minds and hearts to totally destroy them; using human vessels as the instruments for demonic works. God’s wrath comes against the spirit of antichrist in man. Destroying mankind out of their human will submitting to demonic possession and influence by willful choice; not out of God’s punishment.

Mankind is destroyed indirectly by God’s hand; but it’s done directly as a result of man’s willful choice. God’s out to destroy satan and those who mold themselves into satan’s image. God will never pour out His wrath on those who are saved by His blood and walk in His love. God prepared hell for the devil, his angels and those who are his followers. God’s destruction is aimed at satan; and those whose satan’s spirit has literally possessed. We’re caught in the middle

between God and satan. Who we choose to serve will determine for us our Eternal fate and destiny. Let’s make the right choice!

    A VISION OF JESUS

A few years ago, while sitting in an auditorium, I saw the face of Jesus. His eyes were like looking into pools of living love. From the beginning, the Lord showed His love to me. He showed me that I left the land of promise and followed after other gods; yet He forgave me and His love drew me back. His love reaching; truly giving all that He had for me. Two hands extended; a robe of white; two eyes full of the most all encompassing love I had ever seen. Reaching out to me; reaching out to touch and to heal. Jesus let me feel His love; feel His hurt at my rebellion; and feel His compassion for my repentant heart.

Such love I’d never known. A hurting deep love that cuts to the inward parts; bringing pain at the name of Jesus. A pain of love, compassion and mercy for the sinner. I had been too wrapped up in the shallow, immaterial things of the world. Losing sight of the Eternal glories. Trading my birthright for porridge. Jesus was reaching out to those who were so very alone; those hurting with pain so deep that words could not convey to another. Yet Jesus cared; Jesus knew and understood. Lonely souls looking for purpose and meaning. Jesus meeting them as the Divine Comforter; the author of Holy love.

I found that nothing else matters but God’s love. His love reaching out to us; that we might reach out to others in His love; the only way to win the lost to Jesus. Loving them; having mercy on them; having the compassion and pain in your heart that drives you onto seeking and saving that which is lost. God’s love in us can do what we cannot do. It can heal; restore and deliver. And in the process, our needs will be met as we extend ourselves to God, to meet the needs of others through our willing vessels. Jesus loved me so deeply that He gave me His life. Do I love Him enough to give my life for those whom He loves? I will never, my whole life through, be able to forget those eyes of love. The fire of Holy love; burning out all the dross in my life; leaving only the true Eternal values behind. Bringing down the walls I built to shut the world out. Pouring His love through me, to allow the world in. I thank you, dear Jesus, for bringing me love. For reaching out.

    UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

We must have our motivation of fear, viewing God’s wrath; changed to motivation of love, viewing God’s mercy. God sees value and potential in people; regardless of what they do or what they have. This is His unconditional love. God desires the same love from His children: unconditional. We must love God for who He is; not because of what He has to offer us; or what He does for us. This place brings ‘in love’ attributes. The total giving for the behalf of the beloved; not for ourselves.

In this way is the mystery of the relationship between man and wife; and Christ with His church parallel. Both relationships require unconditional love between the parties. Our desire is to give unto God for His welfare, rather than for our own; resulting in anchoring in God for who He is. Regardless of circumstances and adversities; because the values in serving God will far outweigh the pitfalls. Even as with ‘in love’ feelings between man and woman; the realization of pitfalls, faults and weaknesses are present. But the overriding values outweigh them. We overlook the pitfalls in the presence of the values. So it is with our relationship with God. If we truly realize our position in Him; our potential in Him; and our provision in Him; we can rise above the trials of the day and hour without becoming disappointed, disillusioned or discouraged. It is in this place that the problems will have no power whatsoever over us to hurt us spiritually. God’s goals and character do not change. His methods change according to our needs. God desires our unconditional love; where our total heart motive and desire is ‘not my will; but Thine’. No concern for what we gain or lose; but what will please Him. Not loving God for what He has (blessings) for our gain; nor for what He does (judgment) for our loss; but simply because we choose to love God for who He is.

Worship is solely loving God for who He is. Praise is loving God for what He does. Worship is the highest form of prayer; for it is at this level that we are more concerned with the needs of His heart rather than for the needs of our own. Total giving in behalf of the beloved. The more we give unto God; the more we love Him. The more we love Him; the more we give unto Him. In turn, the more He sees our love for Him; the more He gives unto us. Unconditional love gives without thought of personal gain or comfort. The one beloved is the object of concern and desire. Total fulfillment comes in knowing that we are loved for ourselves; not because of what we have (possess) or what we do to deserve it. Total fulfillment comes in knowing we are unconditionally loved. In knowing this love from others, it causes us to want to give unto them in return. To reinforce their faith in us; to please their hearts as they have sought to please ours. Even so, it is with God. He loves us unconditionally. He desires that we love Him unconditionally as well. Then, there truly is nothing that can separate us from His love.

    © 1977 Dorothy Womack

    A CORRECT IMAGE OF GOD

God wants to bring us out of our particular bondages because He loves us. God isn’t grieved by His hurt; He’s grieved by ours. The things that cause us hurt and grief are also hurting God. He desires us to be free because of His giving nature of love. He’s not out to incur wrath on our heads; but wants to bring mercy into our lives. We are to have the fear of God: reverential awe and respect. We are not to have the fear in God that satan brings: torment and turmoil. The first fear brings us to our knees in closer relationship to God. The second fear takes our feet to flight in severing relationship to God. When we see God’s character of love; the rest will fall into place concerning what standards we are to follow in this life. We will no longer desire to do things which cause grief to Him; anything that would bring reproach upon His name. When we are given good from the hand of God; we will no longer desire to receive evil from the hand of satan. We will seek to become more like the one beloved: holy, upright, gentle. The regulations, rules and rituals will not mean as much to us as the reality, responsibility and real love individually obtained from the Savior of our souls. If we’re going to line up with man’s standards of favor; we won’t have God’s favor. God is concerned with heart motives; not outward appearance and action. Man can conform outwardly and still rebel inwardly. But when man conforms inwardly to the Spirit of God, there will be changed evidenced outwardly as well.

When we love God, we won’t want to do or say things to bring reproach upon His name (our motive being solely for His sake); not out of duty to man’s standards (our motive being solely for our sake). Receiving man’s acclaim brings temporal reward here; whereas pleasing God brings us Eternal reward in Heaven. As long as we view God in wrath; we will be waiting for a ‘bomb’ to drop; leaving absolutely no room for intimacy. We cannot be intimate with One whom we are afraid of! The Holy Spirit, Jesus and God are the same: the Triune Godhead. We must reconcile our thinking to seeing Deity by the examples already set before us: Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus said we had seen the Father through Him. We view Jesus as the comforter of the lonely; the helper to the needy; the health to our life; and the healer of our hearts.

We view the Holy Spirit as a gentleman: tender; loving; sweet. Therefore, we must view God, whom we have not seen, by the examples of the One who was seen 2,000 years ago; and the One seen in the world today. Satan drives; Holy Spirit leads. Satan shrieks; demands; shouts; is harsh; violent; domineering. The Holy Spirit is just that: Holy; like God. People drawing closer to God are developing the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love; joy; peace; etc. The fruits are coming from the tree (God). No good tree brings forth bad fruit; neither does a bad tree bring forth good fruit. If the fruit (Holy Spirit) is good; then so is the tree (God). If God’s tree was bad; then the fruit would be bad also (i.e., wrath; violence; anger; malice; hate). But, if in this life, we are trying to attain to the image of Christ and develop the fruits of the Spirit, then we must be drawing closer to the true character of God in doing so. As God is love; and perfect love casts out all fear; then we should have no fear in what a day brings forth; because God is with us in it. And love always wins.

    GOD’S SACRED SECRETS

Don’t take spiritual things too common; losing precious value in them; refusing to share under excuses of one thing or another. To walk in the Spirit, we must be sensitive to Him; tune Him in; grasp what we’ve already been given. See the natural man through spiritual insight. Carnal man cannot discern spiritual truths; therefore the Spirit of God reveals the spiritual insights to us; through natural means if necessary. Spiritual insights are for practical application in our daily lives. They line up with the Word of God (because His Spirit and His Word parallel) and may be conveyed through natural means; directly; indirectly; through dreams; thought patterns. God wants us to see, hear, and perceive with our spiritual senses. We need to see God’s hand in natural means; gain the spiritual insight for practical life application; and give out to others what God gives us.

When we don’t hear God’s voice; we should still see His hand. The more we train ourselves to see, hear and perceive with our spiritual senses, and not our natural ones; the more second nature it will become to walk in the Spirit. When we walk in the Spirit, we will have the anointing to lead us and the fruits to keep us. We should always find value in the things of the Spirit; never take them for granted; or consider them as common. As we see, hear and perceive God on a daily basis, His presence will become real and more closer. In the direct, daily communion with God, we are being told His secrets.

These secrets are very precious and valuable; not all to be shared; nor all to be withheld; but to be used at God’s discretion. God doesn’t reveal His secrets to gossips; but to those He can trust: His servants, the prophets. God will honor the prayers of His prophets, who stand in the gap for the people. God never reveals His secrets to purposely damage another; but only to heal them. God won’t violate a person’s rights. God takes away the pain of a memory; but not the memory itself. We are what we have experienced. Natural wisdom comes through human experience. God’s wisdom comes through spiritual insights imparted to man. God applies insight according to our personal, individual needs. God will make a way for us to share the dangers of our mistakes; without necessarily sharing the details of them. God reveals His secrets only to heal; not to damage character in the process. God won’t tell you something personal about someone else; unless He can trust you to minister to that person’s need and not destroy them. His secrets are specific; but very sacred.

    GRACE VS DIVINE COMPENSATION

Grace blinds you to the reality of a traumatic situation; and numbs your reactions as well. Divine compensation opens your eyes to the reality of the situation; but there is no longer any reaction to it at all. In Divine compensation, God actually becomes to us what we need; not necessarily what we want. Thus, the need is actually met in us. Grace is a period of delay granted as a favor. It is what God does (acts). Divine compensation is an equivalent (equal in value and importance) return for loss. It is who God is (ways). Grace is ‘God doing’. Divine compensation is ‘God being’. Grace is temporary; and remedies the need. Divine compensation is permanent; and removes the need. Grace provides for us from God’s character. Divine compensation produces in us through God’s character.

Grace is God’s impartation from without the man. Divine compensation is God’s impartation from within the man. Divine compensation is the spiritual glue which holds people together in the Spirit (‘Agape glue’). Divine compensation comes only when we have accepted God’s will above our own.

Grace is a period of delay granted as a favor. It is God’s spiritual ‘novacaine’; deadening the excruciating pain of an ordeal to where it is bearable. But when the actual ordeal is over; there follows that the ‘novacaine’ begins to wear off; and some pain must actually be endured in the recovering processes. The reason for the ordeal is not to be subjected to punishment; but to keep your ‘teeth’ in best functioning ability to chew your ‘food’ properly; in order to gain the proper, necessary nourishment to keep your body functioning at its best. Even so does God desire that our spiritual teeth chew the spiritual food which He feeds us; that we may be nourished and developed in Him; His ways; and His character. And that we may grow up into a fully mature and healthy individual in Christ.

    SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY & PERCEPTION

We must train our senses to be extra sensitive to the Spirit of God. Even as we know someone intimately by being with them a lot; by listening to them; watching them; weighing their actions; so it is with the Holy Spirit who conveys God’s character to us. We can tune Him out (as with men we are with; but don’t listen to); or we can listen to Him with our spiritual ears (listen to what people say themselves to us; listen to what God says through people to us; listen to what God says to us about people; listen to what God says through us to people); by seeing with our spiritual eyes (looking for spiritual insights every day in the natural order of things; resulting in personal parallels to daily life application); and by perceiving in our hearts; not just knowing in our minds; the intensity of God’s love for us. It is in these three things that we develop sensitivity to the Spirit of God: hearing; seeing; perceiving. Every day, God leads us directly by His Word and His Spirit; or indirectly by people, books, or circumstances. It is up to us to be alert to His leadings. When we do not hear God’s voice; we must still see His hand. We must train ourselves to look with the eyes of faith; and see what God is doing in our lives. We must look for the blessing; the love; the good; the acceptance God has for us. ‘Whatsoever things are pure; lovely; of good report; think on these things’. We must look for value and potential in ourselves, in God, and in the people around us. Being saved doesn’t excuse us from being human. We still have imperfect desires; but we have One who understands; and who can make us perfect in His image.

Prayer is communion with God. If we stay in a state all day long where we are alert to hear God’s voice, see His hand, or perceive His truth; then we are staying sensitive to Him and have communion with God. Thus, we are praying unceasingly; walking in the Spirit; and practicing the presence of God. In another measure, this applies to helping others. God has conditioned us to listen to the Spirit of God; whether by prophecy; Biblical truth; sermons; books; words spoken through people’s lips (looking at the person’s words; not at the person). He’s taught us to listen to the inner expressions of the people around us; to discern their needs and hurts; in order to be yielded to the Lord who enables us to speak the truths that can heal them. Listening is essential to communication. We must be sensitive to what the Spirit would say unto us; in whatever diversified manner He takes. We must be sensitive to the needs of people around us; observe their actions and reactions; and speak forth the truth in love. We must move in a spirit of love and meekness towards one another, to arrive at inner healing.

Only as we walk in the Spirit are we alert to recognize the devices of satan; and have the power to resist. If we walk in the natural, we will be blindly ignorant of the enemy’s tactics; and powerless to stand against them. When our spirits are closed to God, or to one another, we do not listen. It is only when we open up our spirits to God and to one another, that we can listen and perceive the truths that are being conveyed to us. God is a Spirit. When we walk in the Spirit, we can reach into the spirits of others. Peace is the assurance that God is with us. When we walk in the Spirit, we have the assurance that God is with us. Therefore, we do not entertain doubts; and the fears cannot possibly prevail. In lining up our wills with God’s will, we must listen and act upon what God tells us.
