Bruno Caporrimo

Dr. Bruno Caporrimo was born in Palermo, Sicily. He is the youngest of seven. During WWII his family lost everything and they immigrated to the United States. Within two years tragedy struck again and both of his parents died. At the age of 43, after experiencing more unhappiness and tragedy, he cried out to the Lord. God heard his cries and opened the door to eternal life. He gave Bruno a spiritual anointing and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. More than twenty years have gone by and Dr. Bruno has accomplished many of his dreams and the Lord has given him new vision. He is the founder of Everlasting CHIP Ministry Discipleship and Training Center, an international school birthed out of his prayers and desire to win the lost and restore the modern church. He has authored eleven inspirational books and he is a Certified Psychotherapist and Counselor. In addition, he has worked with many prominent ministries throughout Asia, Italy and the world. Introduction

On December 28, 2000, we were returning to America from our 4th missionary trip to China. We were flying at 30,000 feet. Everyone on the plane was quiet and resting. I whispered a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for such tremendous and wonderful work, all the experience he had given us, and the eternal work of God. As I began to meditate on all the miracles and the work of the Lord that had been done through our lives over the past four months and even the last 15 years, I found myself praising the Lord. While my heart was full of joy, the Holy Spirit began to speak and inspire me to write this book, Honeymoon With The Holy Spirit.

As you read this book, dear reader, my prayer for you is that you will discover that it is not the work of a man but it is the work of the Holy Spirit. It is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord. If you are hungry for the power of God, keep reading this book, for in it I will share with you what I have learned, and some experiences from the Holy Spirit concerning His marvelous, miracle-working power available to you and me; even right now you can get all that you need from God.

As we continued the flight, my wife nudged my arm and she proclaimed softly into the air, I love you, Holy Spirit. For the next twelve hours, the Holy Spirit gave us good rest and the Lord began to prepare me to share this book with you. I hope this will bring you close to Him, to give you the fullness of His love through His Son, so you may have an awesome Honeymoon with His Holy Spirit.

In The Beginning

In 1985, the Lord baptized me with the Holy Spirit and changed my life forever. I experienced a miraculous healing in my body and soul. Instantly, I was delivered from the bondage of drinking, drug use, and various physical ailments. After many years of playing soccer as a boy and as a man, I was left with several injuries and a great deal of serious pain. My knees and back were a torture to me. My eyesight was very poor and I needed glasses, but was too vain to wear them. My moral health was even worse. I lived in a world of sin and self-indulgence. I was completely separated from the Lord; in fact, I had replaced Him with the great god of medical science. Between my sins and my doctors, I was dying. As the saying goes, there is a God shaped hole in the soul of everyone. I tried desperately to fill that void in myself by being a workaholic. I was working, but my life wasn’t!

The Confrontation - Roy Lang

My day of deliverance arrived in the form of a courageous and loving Christian man named Roy Lang. He confronted me in my restaurant with the Gospel. He looked straight into my eyes, into my soul, and declared that I was a sinner. He explained to me that God had a plan for my life and that He was my only salvation. Many people in the past had witnessed to me about the Lord. I always responded with pride and ignorance of the Gospel. I would say things like, Look, don’t you see the crucifix around my neck? Or, Don’t you see the crucifix on the wall? I have God, I would say. But the truth was, I had religion, not a relationship. I was the worse than the Sadducees and Pharisees. I was nothing but a self-righteous hypocrite. But there was something special about this man. His character and love towards me was more than I could handle. I felt guilty, not worthy, and ashamed of my conduct. I began to experience the degree of my filth, unworthiness, and lack of values.

I began listening to him. I know that he was a messenger from God. I wish now that I could take back the nasty self-serving attitude that I had towards this man. I thank the Lord every day for sending this great Christian man to me. Roy told me that I must get on my knees with a contrite heart and true sorrow for my sins. I remember him being gentle, but firm. There was something special in his eyes. His words were like a command. Now I know that it was the Holy Spirit in him trying to draw me to the Master. My friend, I wish this would have happened to me when I was a boy. Unfortunately, through wars and afflictions of a man-controller like Hitler, and many false leaders around the world, people have become victims with no way out and are without God. Perversion, danger, fear, rejection, loneliness and darkness occupy people’s lives.

I hope that I can make a difference to a city or to a nation, now that I have God in my life. I hope and pray that the testimonies, stories and events that you are about to read in this book will inspire you, so you can bring change in your family and snatch people from the trap of the enemy that is operating in this world. My hope is that you would read this book very carefully and that God would give you a great experience in the third heaven. As you begin to walk in His understanding and the fullness of His love that he has planted before the foundation of the world, He will give you a destiny, a blueprint for your life. You then can live in harmony with Him, the Creator of all things. My desire is that God would give you the best. Two Thousand years ago, He came to the earth to redeem mankind. That redemption is now available for everyone who believes on Him. The choice is yours; do not throw it away! Now it is time for you to kick the devil out and let the Master come in and take control. Unfortunately, I rejected the Good News, and ordered Roy out of my establishment. In my arrogance I said, Who are you to come in here, talking to me like that? Three days later, a strange thing happened. I was going through a severe family crisis. I could feel a demonic influence in and around me. This evil presence was real and tangible. It was destroying me, literally choking me to death! Fear and desperation drove me to my knees. Remembering what Roy had told me, I realized for the first time that the truth of God’s Word for my life was manifesting itself, and I began to call on Him. It was something new in my life. I had never done this before. No one had ever told me. Through my life, I never saw anybody experience this. I was blind, and now through my pain, and through the words of this young man, I began to act on them as I knelt like a small child, in desperation, and with all my being, soul and heart. I began to call for connection to his faith, hoping the Master would hear me with that mediator, like a Catholic Priest, to confess my faults. This was new and real.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I knelt there, weeping, in a darkened room. I was empty and alone. I cried out to the Lord, Father, Father, where are you? Please come to me, I want to know you! Lord Jesus, please forgive me for being rude to your servant, Roy. Lord, forgive all my sins. I began to call on God from the depths of my being, something I had never experienced before. It was at that moment I became so aware of my faults and failures and felt so unworthy of God’s blessing. Dear Lord Jesus, I prayed, please have mercy on me.

After 43 years of pain and solitude, 43 long years of being lost and separated from my Father, we were reunited. I was reconnected to our Creator. The supernatural love of the Holy Spirit was overwhelming. My heart was filled with it until it overflowed and filled the room with a tremendous warmth and glow. I found myself in the presence of our Lord Jesus. I know now that He had gifted me to see Him with spiritual eyes, as I saw the form of the spiritual glory, to capture my mind, soul and body. There he spoke to me and said, Ask my Father in my name to heal you. The move of the Spirit was so powerful! Words are indeed inadequate to describe the experience. I can only say that in the blink of an eye, I was made whole in body, mind and spirit! For the first time, I felt His awesome love and peace like I had never experienced before. I knew for the first time that God really, really loved me, in spite of my negligence and all the sins I had committed in my life. I deserved to die. There were hundreds of people that I had cheated, lied to and violated, and that had done the same to me. I thought of the violence, oppression, depression and crime that had attacked my very soul in the past, which no medication, no drugs, no food, no money, could restore. Now I found myself complete. I knew I was transformed and caught up into the third heaven. God gifted me and called me to proclaim the Good News to the nations. As you continue in these chapters, you will experience revelation, knowledge and discernment allowing you to go to a higher place where you will find his perfect will for your life.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

We have brand new life and faith in God. Faith is fortifying yourself in God.

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress and my Deliverer.

"Faith builds an invisible shield around you. Walk out into the new day, imagining there is an invisible barrier of impenetrable and indestructible material that surrounds you like a fracture proof bubble.

Because you and I are walking in faith, negativity, pessimism, cynicism, unbelief, like invading germs, drops dead before they ever reach you." Hallelujah.

Thank you, Heavenly Father that now I have a faith that fortifies me against all the destructive spiritual forces loose in our world. I have the ultimate security, for you are always besides me.

Proverbs 4:20-22

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Seventeen years have passed since that day. During this time, we have established Everlasting CHIP Ministries in the United States, and have conducted crusades in 30 other nations. The Lord continues to pour out His blessings upon us. We have experienced thousands upon thousands of conversions and miraculous healings in His mighty name. All who have been healed have received their healing through their faith in the Lord Jesus. Also, many of those who have attended our crusades, and have failed to receive a healing, have been miraculously healed later while reading the Bible and our books.

Psalms 107:20

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

When a believer acts on the promises of God, whether preached or printed, he is transformed by the power of God. The Gospel is the power of God only when it is believed. The Lord is always faithful to produce what He states in His Word.

John 17:17-20

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world? And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

As these 15 years have gone by, my relationship with the Lord has gotten better and better, and the Holy Spirit has directed me and guided me in every aspect of my life. As we continue in this book, I will express to you the many wonderful experiences in my life with the Holy Spirit, for the sole purpose of helping you in your relationship with the Lord and the Holy Spirit. Because I want to be scriptural in all that I share with you, I will express some of the works of the Holy Spirit and some of His ways. The truth about the Holy Spirit is pictured in scripture as God. He is spoken of as God.

Now that I have given you some of the attributes of the Holy Spirit, I would like to take you back to 1985, when I began to walk with the Lord. As I have said before, my life was a wreck and I was surrounded by a life of gambling, smoking, and drinking, and I was also a workaholic. I had no idea and no knowledge of the love of the Holy Spirit, or of the love that the Holy Spirit has for all humanity. I was in total darkness and controlled by the spirit of darkness, which is the prince of the power of the air.

Ephesians 2:1-2

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

As I mentioned before, in August of 1985, I knelt down and desperately cried to the Lord in that dark room, remembering what my brother Roy, the preacher, had told me. I needed to repent and cry out on my knees to the Lord. I cannot describe the wonderful love of the Holy Spirit as He invaded my life and I felt all the demonic influence and oppression lifted off me. For the very first time in my 43 years of living, my whole being, spirit, soul and body, were complete, as He covered me with His precious blood.

The Holy Spirit invaded me as I swallowed my pride and I humbled myself 100% in my brokenness. He made me complete! I remember like it was yesterday. When you encounter the supernatural Almighty God, you will want to share that with the whole world. I am so grateful to God, workers, co-workers, and friends who have made it possible to share this book with you. After several hours of being alone with Him, I knew that the Lord loved me. After this tremendous miraculous experience, I got up and went back to my restaurant.

Where it all started - Italy

It is only fair at this time that I share with you some of the highlights of my previous life. I was born in Italy in 1941 to a wealthy family. My father was an importer/exporter of produce. When I was three years old, I was dedicated to the Lord in a Catholic church. When World War II broke out, my family had to flee to the hills and into the caves for three years. The Americans liberated Italy and finally the war was over. But my dad had lost millions and millions of dollars. My family then began to immigrate to America.

In December of 1958, I joined my family in America, against my will. I left my friends, school, work, church and country. Everything that I had loved was taken away from me. When we arrived in New York City, my father told me to kneel down and kiss the ground of America. My dad was very traditional. No one in my family was born again except my mother. When I arrived in America, as a young boy, I was very depressed. I had no friends, just my family.

We lived in New Jersey in a very nice home. Everyone was working and busy with everyday life but me. I closed myself in a room for three months, and all I would do is read books. One night, my brother Joe knocked on my door. I remember the very words he spoke to me. He said, Stop complaining. You’re not going back to Italy. You need to go to work and make money. Mother has cancer.

Lost both parents in their fifties

I was so taken back by that because the love that I had for my mother was very great and I would do anything for her. I want to remind you that there was no prayer life in my family. No one knew how to pray for healing miracles, so I did what I thought was right, and the next day I was up at 5:00 in the morning. It was a very cold morning, with snow coming down, and I did not speak one word of English. I began to look for a job. I went from factory to factory until I landed a job in a clothing factory. The majority of workers spoke Italian and English. The women workers there liked me so much that they taught me English.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer of the stomach. She passed away after her surgery and that broke my heart. I never got a chance to tell my mother, I love you, to her face. That brought bitterness, resentment and anger to my heart against God, the doctors, and the system.

Within one year, my father died broken-hearted because of my mother’s death. We went to the hospital on Christmas Day, and the doctor could not find anything wrong with my dad. But he was brokenhearted and fell into deep depression. He gave up his will to live and a priest administered the last rites. Within hours, my dad was pronounced dead. Oh how I wish I knew then the truth now I possess in my relationship with the Lord. If that were the case, I believe my mother and father would be alive today. I believe Satan cut short their lives. They were only in their fifties when they died.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

At that time, my brother Joe enlisted in the Navy, my older sister got married, and I got stuck paying all the household bills, including the mortgage payments. I became more and more bitter with time. I felt cheated and robbed of my youth. I lost my family identity completely. As a young boy, full of pressure, I wanted to escape. I quit my job. I lost the desire to work and pay the bills.

I joined a group of five other boys and went west to California. I spent one year in California with my friends, but none of us had a job or direction. Our money ran out and we went back to New Jersey. I moved in with my sister and began to do construction work. I started going to school at night, attending classes to finish high school. I still had a void in my heart and felt lonely and disconnected from society. That’s when I began to drink and go to nightclubs.

Within a very short time, I came in contact with the Mafia and the New York underworld. I spent many years living a life of
