Crowlogue
About a year ago, five crows were crowded around a huge table in the Crowbar, a bar designed to satisfy the drinking needs of crows, and they were discussing their plans for the future while drinking from their beakers…
‘Listen, Barclay,’ an average-sized crow with a top hat said to the crow sitting opposite him, who was slightly taller than he was, and who was wearing a bowtie and was holding a camera in one wing, and a beaker in the other, ‘I’ve just come up with a great idea.’
‘Oh, please do tell, Bahari!’ Barclay replied with a slight glint in his eyes, and who had just put his beaker down on the table.
‘Well,’ Bahari began, ‘I had a dream last night. In the dream, I was flying across some beautiful blue waters, for no apparent reason.’
‘Blue water?’ Barclay asked, bamboozled. ‘Is water not see-through, Bahari?’
‘Water is clearly blue!’ Berke, who had a purple Mohawk, interrupted. ‘I would know!’
‘I’m not convinced!’ Bjork, a crow eating an iceburger, responded. ‘What do you think, Biton?’
‘I have no idea!’ Biton, a crow with glasses, and who clearly had an attitude problem, replied while flapping his arms around insanely. ‘You’re looking at a crow with glasses, man! My eyesight ain’t perfect, you know! Now let me get back to my crowca cola drinking, will ya?!’
‘Sure, sure, you don’t have to yell!’ Bjork replied while quivering.
‘So, what’s your plan already?’ Barclay asked, getting impatient.
‘Yes, yes, of course, my plan!’ Bahari replied. ‘Well, it involves the five of us flying the seven seas, searching for treasure.’
‘Sounds like a plan!’ Barclay responded with a grin on his face.
‘I’m not convinced that this will work,’ Bjork said. ‘How are we supposed to carry the treasure?’
‘In our beaks and on our backs, of course!’ Berke answered.
Suddenly, the crows heard the bartender yelling something:
‘Hey!’ the bartender shouted to the crows. ‘Look at the time on the cluck on the wall! I’m about to close the bar!’
‘Hey, bartender!’ Bjork shouted. ‘Seeing as you’re here, could you give me more ice for my drink?’
‘Stop your whining, Bjork!’ Berke flapped his wings while yelling. ‘Just accept your darned drink already! I hate your constant complaining rituals!’
‘It’s not my fault there’s not enough ice in my crowca cola!’ Bjork yelled. ‘How would you like it if the bartender didn’t put enough ice in your crowca cola?’
‘I would like it very much!’ Berke replied. ‘I don’t care much for ice.’
‘Stop it, all of you!’ Bahari shouted at the top of his voice and slammed his wings on the table.
‘Eek!’ everyone screamed in shock.
‘If we are all going to fly the seven seas, then just try to learn to get along, will ya?! Sheesh! The reason I chose you guys was because I thought that you were slightly intelligent. If you keep up this act, then I might change my mind. Now, anyway, bartender, give us the bill, will ya?!’
‘Sure, sure!’ the bartender responded as he went rushing towards the crows.
While the bartender was talking to Bahari, Bjork started to talk to Barclay:
‘So, Barclay,’ Bjork began, ‘how was your trip to Turkey?’
‘I chickened out of going to Turkey,’ Barclay replied, ‘and I went to Croatia instead, and it was great! I got a new camera and this pretty nifty bowtie!’
‘Okay, guys!’ Bahari said after he had paid the bill. ‘We’ll fly off tomorrow morning, so make sure you are all wide awake nice and early. I.e. the crack of dawn!’
‘Yes, sir!’ everybody said in unison.

About 6 months later…
‘Wow, look at this place!’ Bahari said in amazement as he entered an ancient underground cave which was brimming with treasure. ‘This must be what they call Heaven
.’
‘I think Captain Bahari’s lost it, guys!’ Barclay stated.
‘Alright!’ Captain Bahari said while he turned around to face his crownies. ‘Here’s the score: You guys take these ancient stone tablets which were very conveniently placed at the entrance, and hide them and yourselves so that no one will ever be able to enter here and steal my treasure! Understand?’
‘Kind of, captain,’ Barclay said in a puzzled tone of voice. ‘There’s just one thing I don’t quite get: Aren’t you going to?’
‘No way!’ Captain Bahari replied. ‘The plan is that you guys take the stone tablets and some of the treasure and keep the stone tablets safe from interlopers! Now do you understand?’
‘Yeah,’ Barclay responded, ‘but it sounds kind of weird, you know, the whole idea of…’
‘Silence!’ Captain Bahari shouted. ‘The idea of this plan being
