    Prologue

    Mission Briefing:

An evil alien army has invaded our world. No one knows what their real intentions are, but many innocent people have already been killed by these aliens, and it is only a matter of time until a whole continent could be wiped out.

So, Carmen Shoot-all, it is your duty, as a professional Federal Bureau of Investigations agent, to go out there and defeat those no-good aliens before it is too late.

The world is in your hands…

Response: ‘What a load of rubbish!’

    Chapter 1

    An Agent Meeting

The F.B.I.’s main meeting room was big, with a huge, square shaped table with many chairs surrounding it in the middle of the room. This room was very crowded, with many F.B.I. agents sitting around the table while having a meeting. The man in charge of the meeting was speaking:

‘And so, it is with this subject at hand – these aliens – just in case you’ve forgotten, that we decide, together, who will go on this dangerous errand. The person who goes must be courageous, determined, and a professional agent. And that is why I’ve invited you all here. So, who’s up for this task?’

Everybody looked at the tall, old, and greying man wearing glasses, who had given the speech, and everybody, but one, said ‘not me’.

‘What’s wrong with you? You’re F.B.I. agents. It is your duty to protect the world. You’re all a bunch of losers! You hear me? Losers!’

The man looked over at the one man who hadn’t said anything when asked to see who was up to the task. ‘Have you been paying any attention to my speech, whatsoever?’ he asked.

The man, who was in his early twenties, had a fine suit, was of an average height, but just couldn’t be bothered with anything, looked up at the man, and said, ‘Uh, maybe.’

‘So, what have we been discussing, then?’

‘Um, something about aliens, I think.’

‘Okay. So, are you willing to go on this errand?’

‘I can’t be bothered, man. It’s not that I don’t like the world, it’s just that, well, I want to live a little bit longer. You know what I mean, man?’

‘Listen, Carmen, you will go out there and save the world, if you like it or not!’

‘Oh yeah, and another thing: Who’s to say that these aliens actually exist, huh? I mean, we have absolutely no proof whatsoever.’

‘Many people have already died, Carmen.’

    ‘And the proof is…where?’

‘Listen, Carmen, just watch the News on the T.V. Trust me; you will be shocked and horrified.’

‘Hmph! Fine, show me the News, then. But it won’t change my mind.’

The boss switched on the television, which was located in the top-right corner of the room. ‘Look, Carmen. Look at the danger that those aliens are causing. Hark! They can speak English? What’s up with that?’

‘Hmph! Look at that big, black armoured monster!’ Carmen said as he looked at the alien on the television. ‘What can that big thing do to us, huh?’

Suddenly, the alien turned around to face the News Reporter and shot her with its blaster.

    ‘That,’ stated the boss.

‘The woman was an idiot. She knew it was coming. And besides, even if those aliens could kill us that easily, then who’s to say that I’m
