Chapter 1
Third Time Unlucky
About half a year since Bob Piercem’s last adventure, everything seemed peaceful in Watertown…Until a certain walking, talking skeleton wearing a black top hat started running into every shop in the town.
‘Where is that pink-haired friend of mine?’ Pip, the walking, talking skeleton thought as he entered the local supermarket. ‘I seriously don’t see what’s so super
about this particular market. It looks the same as any other place where one can buy food. Not like I would want to buy any, or anything…’
‘Hey, Pip!’ a familiar voice shouted across Pip’s current aisle. ‘What are you doing in the pink aisle?’
‘I was looking for somebody with pink hair, Bob!’ Pip shouted across to the figure at the other end of the aisle who was wearing his typical black hoody and blue jeans. ‘Anyway, bad news!’
‘What’s wrong?’ Bob asked the anxious-looking skeleton.
‘My sister, Bonnie Bones, is missing!’ Pip shouted.
‘There’s a surprise!’ Bob said, sarcastically. ‘Okay, I originally came here to buy some pasta, but your dilemma sounds a lot more important, so we should round up my good wife, Hannah, and our good friend, James Sharpe.’
‘Sounds like a plan!’ Pip said while taking out his trusty red and yellow screwdriver from underneath his hat. ‘Also, good thing I take this everywhere I go! I always keep it safe in my hat! So anyway, let’s go!’
‘Right!’ Bob agreed as they started to bolt towards the supermarket’s only real
exit.

After Bob and Pip left the supermarket, it didn’t take them long to find Hannah Piercem, seeing as she was standing right outside the door.
‘I didn’t think that you were allowed to run in supermarkets,’ Hannah, who had dark hair and who was wearing her usual turquoise skirt and her purple tee-shirt, said to Bob.
‘Limited time offer,’ Bob quickly responded, ‘buy nothing, and run out the supermarket, free! It’s pretty useless, really. Anyway, Pip’s sister is missing, so care to join the hunt?’
‘Sure, okay,’ Hannah said while looking at the shop that sold crystal ornaments. ‘I was going to buy a little present for your sister, Annie, but I guess it can wait.’
‘Excellent!’ Bob said happily. ‘Now all we need is James, and then we’re done!’
‘Maybe that strange sage, Herbert, knows where he is,’ Pip suggested.
‘Good thinking, Pip!’ Bob acknowledged. ‘Let’s go see him!’
‘Okay!’ Pip agreed as they started to run towards Herbert’s herb garden.
‘Hey, wait up!’ Hannah shouted as she began to catch up to Bob and Pip. ‘You didn’t wait for my answer! I suppose, it would have been something like yeah, okay, Bob
or something similar.’
With that, the trio ran towards Herbert’s herb garden.

Chapter 2
Herbert the Wise Sage, Take 3!
As soon as Bob, Hannah and Pip arrived at Herbert the Wise Sage’s herb garden, they noticed something strange about the stump that the wise sage usually sits on…He wasn’t on it!
‘Now where is that darn sage when you need him?’ Pip asked Bob as he started to look around for Herbert.
‘He probably went to get some herbal tea, or something,’ Bob said in a disappointed tone of voice as he looked at the empty stump.
‘What should we do while he’s gone?’ Hannah asked Bob, curiously.
‘Who’s gone?’ a strange voice asked as the sage appeared from the undergrowth. ‘I am most certainly here! Now, what appears to be the problem? Do you need logs of herbful information?’
‘What were you doing under those leaves?’ Pip asked the sage, who had a green moustache and a brown walking stick, in a curious tone of voice.
‘Why,’ Herbert said as he pointed at a letter in his left leaf, ‘I was looking for this! Its location was a mystery indeed! But I wasn’t going to just leaf it alone! Oh no! I was determined to find it! Sow, I did. Now, I shall read it:
"I hope that this letter gets to you quickly and safely! Anyweed, I have unearthed some interesting news, indeed. You seed, a guy by the name of James Sharpe has been spotted in the forest. He said that he was merely looking for a gift voucher that he claimed to have lost in that very forest. He said that he won’t give up until he finds it!
Yours most sincerely,
Sage-ittarius, the Wise Sage"
Sow, my father seems to know where James Sharpe is,
