When I travelled to Doon Hill, Aberfoyle, in Scotland, it was with one mission in mind.
I was going cast a spell to find my soulmate.
I’m what’s known as a Wyrd – someone who follows the old pagan ways of this country. The word means ‘fate’ in Old English, and for want of a better description, you could describe me as an Anglo-Saxon sorcerer.
I’m descended from Viking stock and magic is part of my life – just as it used to be part of everyone’s life, except that the modern ways have shut us all off to it.
