About this audiobook
Bow Before Your Queen Or Bleed Before Her…
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes book three in her Blood and Ash series.
She's been the victim and the survivor…
Poppy never dreamed she would find the love she’s found with Prince Casteel. She wants to revel in her happiness but first they must free his brother and find hers. It’s a dangerous mission and one with far-reaching consequences neither dreamed of. Because Poppy is the Chosen, the Blessed. The true ruler of Atlantia. She carries the blood of the King of Gods within her. By right the crown and the kingdom are hers.
The enemy and the warrior…
Poppy has only ever wanted to control her own life, not the lives of others, but now she must choose to either forsake her birthright or seize the gilded crown and become the Queen of Flesh and Fire. But as the kingdoms’ dark sins and blood-drenched secrets finally unravel, a long-forgotten power rises to pose a genuine threat. And they will stop at nothing to ensure that the crown never sits upon Poppy’s head.
A lover and heartmate…
But the greatest threat to them and to Atlantia is what awaits in the far west, where the Queen of Blood and Ash has her own plans, ones she has waited hundreds of years to carry out. Poppy and Casteel must consider the impossible—travel to the Lands of the Gods and wake the King himself. And as shocking secrets and the harshest betrayals come to light, and enemies emerge to threaten everything Poppy and Casteel have fought for, they will discover just how far they are willing to go for their people—and each other.
And now she will become Queen…

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I could not get over the narrators extreme dramatics. I had to stop listening at chapter 3, I’m going to read it instead because it was distracting me from the story.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The beginning and ending of this book are fantastic but that middle part, OMG that was sooo slow. I was so freakin bored. I am fine with spicy scenes but that's basically all there is. Progress in the story just stopped. I loved the first two books & I truly hope the next book is good. To war!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Willa Collins, didnt see that coming .... ☺️
Whooo saaaah !!!
That ending, the execution of that message was very, sooo very gratifying.
Only reason it isnt a 5 start, is that Poppys' should have whipered into Alstairs' ear the who killed his daughter as he chocked on his blood !!! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed the actual story and developments, however some chapters contained too much gratuitous sex for my taste. Less is more.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a really good book I had to take a break bc it dragged a bit and finally picked up at the end . Can’t wait to listen to the next one
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Glitches out a lot and randomly stops even when downloaded
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Audio is great. Author is not, really dragged this story.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A lot of back and forth travel in this one but was still a great listen
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really loved this book, but I have to agree with a lot of the negative reviews. Poppy’s inner dialogue can be excruciating to get through at times. She repeats herself so many times about the same thing and it’s unnecessary. It feels like the author was trying to reach a word count.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5DNF. While the overall plot was fine, the writing became very redundant and didn’t offer anything new from the first two books. While I enjoyed the first two books, I only finished about a quarter of this one.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This series is great! Can't wait to listen to the final book once available!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A narração é boa, apesar de soar meio dramática algumas vezes.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Oddly enough....I wasn't disappointed with it the way I thought I'd be. It was actually not a bad time. Maybe because I already went into this book with very low expectations & at this point is getting used to the way JLA is moving with this story but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Could also because the audiobook narrator did a good job with this
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh my my my. This book is so freaking good. We learn so much more and it seems we keep learning new things through each book and it keeps getting better and better. And that ending, OhMgee!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5She really knows how to leave a freaking cliff hanger ?
I need ANSWERS!!!
AND I never thought I would say it....but some of the sex scenes I feel like could have been left out. I enjoyed a couple of them but I'm trying get answers about who Poppy's parents are, what she is, and all this other stuff. I love their relationship and how they are with one another but geez. Poppy have so many skipping heartbeats in this mug she's probably just has heart palpitations??
But while I said between all the honeydew moments we get some fun but the end is really where it's at I swear like the last 4 hours of this book had me glued to the seat.
I might have yelled Poppy you dumb bitch in one part but I can't say what part ? without giving stuff away. Just know it has to do with her brother. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love this series! Sorta wish the sex didn't last 20 mins of a chapter though. I udersatand they are I love but the mystery and action are what keep me listening; I love the twists! Just skip the sex shorter lived
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved these books. Man what a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I’m only a few chapters in to this book, but I finished the other two and I have similar thoughts. Maybe they’ll change when I finish.
The characters feel very 2 dimensional despite the writers effort to make them more complex. The use of the same few words during the bedroom scenes gets a little old after a while. The phrase “died of starvation or hunger” really had me pausing for a bit to consider whether or not there was an editor involved. There are plenty of times when Poppy is supposed to be in danger but then Castile or someone seems to appear out of thin air to rescue her. I’d like to see his POV sometimes to show how much he struggles to save her so that it feels like there’s actually something at stake.
All that being said, I really enjoy the plot overall and I think the world building has some fantastic layers. I just think the writing could be a bit better. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So much drama, love, and growth! Next book please! Fast!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I never leave reviews but just have to say this narrator is amazing.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Trop long. Pas fan de la voix de la narratrice.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this book almost as much as the first two. But I'm starting to lose my patience with Poppy. I wonder if she'll have some character development or if the author will keep writing her in the same annoying way. We'll see.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. It was a fantastic journey that I could not put down from start to finish.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I didn't have any problems with the book playback like others. I haven't for any books. And I have listened to this series twice.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I've loved each book, but this one by far was my favorite! I couldn't stop listening!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The witty banter became a constant eyeroll or a sarcastic comment. We get it. They admitted their love. Show me the tender moments and the spicy ones. Show me the glances without explaining all the time. Still liked it in the end
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely phenomenal! I am so in love with this series!!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Didn't like harlequin romances, rest was done well. Kinda chikflicky
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is exceptional, I love the character development .
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Decent book, but the audio is messed up. It jumps between chapters 10-12.
