About this audiobook

“A wild, action-packed ride… Highly recommended!” —#1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole

Dangerous secrets and forbidden desires lead to shocking consequences.

Half-angel Trinity and her bonded gargoyle protector, Zayne, have been working with demons to stop the apocalypse while avoiding falling in love. The Harbinger is coming, but who…or what…is it? All of humankind may fall if Trinity and Zayne can’t win the race against time as sinister forces gather.

As tensions rise, they must stay close together and patrol the DC streets at night, seeking signs of the Harbinger, an entity that is killing Wardens and demons with no seeming rhyme or reason. But as deaths pile up and they uncover a plot endangering someone dear to Zayne, Trin realizes she is being led…herded…played for some unknown end. As anger builds and feelings spiral out of control, it becomes clear that rage may be the ruin of them all.

The story continues in the rest of The Harbinger Series, now available with enhanced decorating:

I keep hoping Trinity is going to be written in a more mature, less childish way but nope - still nothing. I usually love this author but her modern stuff drives me crazy with how ridiculous and immature the characters end up being. The banter is absolute cringe

Good book. Nice sequel although I have to say there's an awful lot of random filler that isn't foreshadowing. Good for someone if they've not read the first, but awful lot of time is spent rehashing what happened and I found myself hitting the skip forward button. A lot.

I really enjoy the humor of her writing and the protagonist. Unlike another review I saw where they didn't enjoy the humor during the fights, for me that was what made the book fun.

I agree with some of the other reviews here - this is a very tiring book for someone who's read the first one. Constant repetition of what we already know, and lots of childish phrasing and conversation. I'm halfway in, but am not sure I will make it to the end.

After Book 1, I doubled the narration to 1.5. I didn’t think it was possible, but Book 2 has been even less eventful. Nothing happened to remotely move the story along until Chapter 11 (of 44). I’m now on Chapter 13 and the absence of any story continues…Chapter 18… thus far the Book has been mostly about Zane and her never ending inner monologue. If I have to listen to any more interactions between her and Zane, I will start throwing things. If only we could tell characters in books that they are annoying and not as funny as they think they are. At this point, I’m just listening to be able to say that I made it through the series. I hope this author’s other books are better.

Rage and Ruin did not disappoint.

The unique spin on Demons and Angels is so interesting that it makes the story more intriguing. Jennifer ended it on a crazy cliffhanger. I was devasted! My heart sank and I'm dying for answers. These characters are so much fun and likeable that any time anything bad happens or that may hurt their feelings my heartstrings pull and I even go into mother bear mode. Zayne and Trinity's roles change in this second book since the events that came to turn in the last book. Their chemistry only intensifies and they start to cross some boundaries that have dire consequences. The events that happened from their actions caused a lot of issues in their relationship and put a strain on Zayne's duty.

I preferred this book to the last one as the book didn't seem as drawn out even though it was a similar length.

When the book ended, I was lost. Now that is a good book!
I got lost in it, the miscommunication and twists of finding a family and love. The frustration at missed opportunities and the glee when things slip back into place, even for a little bit.

But! Still questions. Ones I haven't found answers to in this book. I mean, it's small, but...that spirit Trinity was talking to in the compound before the attack. Think that was the first book. But he seemed important, but nothing has come from it yet.
Missah (spelling probably wrong ??‍♀️) but how and when, and was it ever real.
    Like I said, small things

Besides the above small questions, wow! I am really enjoying this series, even the down moments. All make the world, characters, and plot stronger.
I laughed out loud many times, peanut, Trinity...well, all of them have an easy dialogue that can become funny banter and/or sarcastic comments.
I also felt my heart ache, so much I found myself clutching it.

Now, smut. There is no real smut in this book. Spice, yes! And pretty description of what could have been hot smutty moments. I actually think it would have made it more, not taken away from it. Made it less YA and more New Adult. But that's just me.

    Overall, I am loving it!

I don't understand why the writer find its possible to have comedic exchanges during a fatal battle. it completely ruins the experience for me. Nevertheless, this book is awesome! I can't wait for the last book!!!
