About this audiobook

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars.

It's more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine . . . and it's coming between her and the man she's fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.

Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.

If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels, and work with not only those she loves, but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies, has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies.

Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves—and, ultimately, to save herself.

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. While some readers adored the love story and the adorable character Tink, others found the first half of the book painful and the protagonist Ivy annoying and dramatic. The change in narrator was also distracting for some. However, overall, readers enjoyed the plot twists and found it to be a good end to the series.

Adored the way Ren & Ivy Loved each other and the way Ren always continuesly said to Ivy that he Loves her! Breathtaking! Tink is to adorable for words!! There is just no way to explain the Love I felt for him in this book!! Love Love Love #Ren ? #IvyDivy ❤️ #Tink ?

This was a great series, really bonded with Ivy, Ren & Tink. Narration not always so great, slow on 1.2 & too fast pace on 1.5. But I still enjoyed the books!

The narrator changed and it was really distracting from the book. It wasn't my favorite book but it was still decent. I love her style of writing and surprising the audience.

While I really enjoyed the first 2 books, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish this one. The first 15 chapters were painful and that's almost half the book. While I appreciate the message the author was trying to convey, it was just too much and went on too long. I could not take anymore of Ivy... I completely stopped caring about her story after the 3rd chapter or so. Thankfully, the 2nd part of the book was a little better, but this one was nowhere as good as the 1st two.

OMG, I can't believe it's over... but, is it? LOVE how this book seems to tie up everything. I still think this series deserve a better cover though. JLA has done it again! Now time to binge read her other series! Sad to say goodbye to these kick-ass characters but I have a feeling we'll hear from them again! *crossing my fingers*

No parece libro conclusivo, pasaron mil cosas en muy poco tiempo y los plot twist perdieron impacto.

I enjoyed the first book but Ivy is so annoying in this one that I couldn't even finish it. My blood pressure grew higher with every minute I listened. I had to walk away from it despite wanting to know how it finished.

    My Review (May Contain Spoilers)

After watching the film adaptations of the series, I just had to read the books and what a great ride it has been to get more depth on the characters. Although I will say that Passionflix adaptation for the first two (was pretty close to the story which I greatly appreciated) I really valued what was delivered here. I also really loved the way in which these books just packed a punch. It makes me realize how much more I want to read from this author. Everything I have read from her has just been so superb. I also really appreciated the way in which this story evolved. Its not an easy story necessarily to read, there is plenty of aspects to it that will really tug at your heartstrings. I really valued what we saw in the conclusion though. And these covers are really pretty although they are nothing like what you are getting in the story lol

The world building was truly fascinating and I just want to know more about the fae courts and these brother princes. I am relieved to see that she continues the series wtih the Dark Night books so it doesn't leave you hanging what will be happening with the queen. The romance between these two was really incredible. So fascinating and inspiring in many ways. Definitely eager for more from this world.

It made me laugh that the title of this book is Brave, the same as the animated movie with Merida, the character Ivy resembles according to Ren. There are a lot of similarities between the two fictional characters, but the title also represents how everyone handles the conclusion to this series.
Ivy and Ren have gone through some bad stuff while still at the beginning of their relationship. Ren is the bedrock that keeps them together which I very much appreciated as a reader. It's up to them to stop the Fae's plan to open the gates despite the traitors within their organization and without. Things don't look good, but thank goodness for Tink. I love him and his romance is amazing (no spoilers).
The author does a great job of keeping the plot moving along with a lot of twists and turns. I happen to like books where I don't see what's coming so this was a good read for me. A very satisfying conclusion to the series.
