Nightingale Way is a book about hope, redemption, and reconciliation. It is romantic, optimistic, and enjoyable to read. It was a bit sappy at times, and it certainly would not appeal to most men. However, I read it through in one afternoon and found that I had a smile on my face at the end. Sometimes that's all you want in a book; a feel-good story. "Friends can be beams of sunshine if only you'll let them" (p. 111).In accordance with FTC guidelines, please note that I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review via LibraryThing Early Reviewers.

After receiving this book for review, I went out and bought the first few books of this series. Having read Emily March as Geralyn Dawson, I knew I couldn't go wrong. I sure am glad I did! I love the characters and the books just keep getting better and better! Keep 'em coming!

Jack & Cat's marriage feel apart after they allowed his job and the loss of their unborn daughter tear them apart. Now, thrown together by a dangerous situation Cat's journalism has placed her in, they realize their relationship may not be without a future if they can overcome the past.I enjoyed this book. It was a good story and I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters of Eternity Springs. I'm new to this series but would be interested in reading the previous & future books in it.

Another great addition to the Eternity Springs series! They are the perfect chick lit romance to lift your spirits and sooth your soul. They may be a bit predictable, but I don't mind.... sometimes that is precisely what I'm looking for in a book..... a feel-good escape that I can count on to have no disappointing surprises. I read a variety of genres and while I like all types of books... mystery, historical, romance, paranormal, etc...... Emily March is one of my 'go-to' authors for a heartwarming contemporary romance. I fell in love with the characters and the town from the time I read book one (this is book 5 in the series). After reading each of the books in this series, I have been left with a longing to live in a place like Eternity Springs and to know these wonderful characters personally. Reading 'Nightingale Way' was no different and I felt like I was spending time with old friends again.I look forward to reading her next addition to this series, 'Reflection Point'.I did receive a free copy of 'Nightingale Way' from the LibraryThing Early Reviewer program; but this did not influence my review in any way. I had already previously read and reviewed every other book in this series prior to winning a copy of this book.

This is a well-written book with nicely developed characters and an overall feel-good vibe. Unfortunately, my response is lukewarm. While I imagine other readers might really enjoy this story, I find it too mellow for my preferences. I found myself reading in spurts, easily putting the book down whenever me attention waned. Yes, I would pick it back up eventually, but more for the skae of finishing than any personal investment.

This novel is our latest visit to enchanting Eternity Springs, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The story centers around Jack Davenport, Black Ops mystery man, and wealthy owner of Eagle's Way. The mansion sits atop a mountain, is visited by few, and is Jack's very private retreat.Catherine Blackburn Davenport known as Cat, is a journalist that seems to find dangerous breaking stories. She just reported on a dog fighting conspiracy, that involves celebrities, and politicians alike. A fire bombing at her home demonstrates how much her life is in danger. Jack and Cat share a heartbreaking secret that tore their life and marriage apart. Now Cat needs protection. Jack will put his anger and heartbreak aside, and risk his life to keep her safe.Eternity Springs is thriving, Angels Rest is a great success, and the mystery of the Runaway Bride is still a mystery. Celeste is still charming people's lives , and talking about moving on.I thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Eternity Springs, would highly recommend it to other readers, and can't wait for the next story.

This was my first Emily March book and I went in already assuming it would be one of them stereotypical-sappy-love story types. BIG mistake!! She surprised me with Jack and Cat's character's. They have presence in the story, you can actually feel who they are through the pages. Without giving anything away, I will say reading this made me want to go looking for my own Eternity Springs! She lets you get to know ALL the characters in town and makes you want to run out and by their stories so you can keep up with the people. I know that I will be looking out for more from Emily March's Eternity Spring series because I want to find out what happens with Jack and Cam's Mountain! Happy reading people!!

I was given a copy of Nightingale Way for the purpose of writing a review. This is a wonderful story of second chances. Jack Davenport and Catherine "Cat" Davenport were deeply in love, but Jack's work with the CIA caused tension in the marriage. It did not help that Cat's mother Melinda is also Jack's boss. From the start Melinda tried to squelch the relationship and made various warnings to both Cat and Jack, but they were in love and didn't listen. As hurts begin to pile up, arguments take place, words are said, feelings are hurt and a child is lost, their relationship fails under the weight of it all. They both believe they were the one wronged and they chose to walk away and not talk things out or finish business between them. Both rebuild their lives on shaky foundations, too stubborn to fully admit it and both still having profoundly deep feelings that will never go away. Cat has become a widely known investigative reporter and has had a few brushes with the wrong types of people. Jack is still with the CIA working under Cat's mother Melinda and is one of the best at what he does. When Cat's house is fire bombed Melinda calls in Jack to make sure her daughter is kept safe and she knows he is the only person that can do it. Melinda also feels that it is finally time to air the dirty laundry and settle things once and for all, so that they each can have fulfilling lives and be happy. This book is about is about love and how it can hurt and heal. Jack and Cat have to learn how to talk to one another, to listen and actually hear and to support and be supported. Knowing where their love led them before and the deep scars that it left on each of them, they both must begin to break down the walls they have built around their hearts and heal.I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found the writing to be good, characters well-developed and the storyline interesting.

I received this book as part of the Early Reviewers group on Library Thing. This would be a great book for the beach or for a long flight. It was a pretty quick read, a general romance sort of book. I didn't dislike it, but I can't say I really enjoyed it either. I'm still unclear on why a lot of things happened in the book (the arrest for instance...why did they need to get arrested?). Some events felt rushed or anticlimactic which could be partly due to the fact that I haven't read any of the other books in this series. It's not a bad book, it's just not my cuppa, though I imagine there are many people who would enjoy it.

Cat Blackburn is a writer and animal rescuer who ends up being kidnapped by her ex-husband Jack Davenport after her house is firebombed. Cat has ticked off several people by writing an article about a local dog fighting ring. Jack gets a call from his boss (and Cat’s mother) to get her away from home for a while until things calm down. He brings her to his rural home in Eternity Springs and they discover that the feelings they once had for each other are still there. Cat gets involved with the community and begins writing for the local newspaper with Jack as her photographer. Jack reconnects with his cousin Cam and finds out that he enjoys his life in a small town setting. Seems great, life could be wonderful….However, the issues that drove Cat and Jack apart are still there. One issue is Jack’s job and the fact that he works for Cat’s mother in some shadowy government agency. The major divide between them and the catalyst for the end of their marriage was the fact the Cat was pregnant and had to deliver a stillborn child while Jack was away on a mission, and when he returned she was unable to cope with her anger and grief. The two never supported each other or acknowledged each other’s feelings and the marriage disintegrated. The whole Eternity Springs series has been about healing fractured relationships and this book is no different. Two people in a supportive environment, able to enjoy each other’s company without the pressures that drove them apart enable them to communicate and look at each other in a new light. The normalcy of life in a small, connected, community helps them to figure out what it is they really want from life and each other. Jack realizes that he wasn’t able to make Cat realize how much the loss of their baby affected him and went into his big, bad, agent persona. Cat learns that she didn’t give Jack a chance to grieve with her and how her actions added to their split. When Jack gets an opportunity for a new job, Cat decides that she will bow out and let him be free without even discussing it with him. Old habits die hard and this couple has to work to be together.I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and this one was a nice addition. The idea of life in a small town full of wonderful people is comforting and adds to the overall feeling of the series. One of the themes regarding the town’s past is cleared up in this book. It is always nice to see how life is moving for characters from earlier books and to see other characters that you would like to learn more about- like Sheriff Zach! I hope we will see more of Eternity Springs.

I greatly enjoy reunion romances, especially with couples who are over thirty and have experienced enough of life to really appreciate a second chance at happiness. "Nightingale Way", from author Emily March's "Eternity Springs Series", is a sweetly sensual story in which two people who have suffered great loss find their way home again to each other. Catherine Blackburn was only twenty when she met Jack Davenport. He was tall, dark, dashing, and utterly irresistible. He also went to work for Cat's mother as a CIA operative, and the two married against her mother's wishes. Jack's work took him all over the world into extremely dangerous situations, and he promised Cat that when they started a family, he would curtail his travels. After years of trying to conceive and enduring fertility treatments, Cat became pregnant. Sadly, while Jack was away on assignment, Cat gave birth to a stillborn daughter, Lauren. The loss of their child tore them apart, making other differences between them even more difficult. Years later, Cat's work as a journalist makes her the target of an unstable radical group. When her house is fire-bombed, Jack swoops in, carries her off, and encloses her in his protective custody. Finding out that her mother sent him does not endear Jack or her mother to Cat--she and her mother have always had a difficult relationship. Settling Cat into his mountain home above the community of Eternity Springs makes Jack face why he drives himself to take so many risks. He can't deny to himself that he has never stopped loving Cat, and he wants her back in his life, but how to make her feel the same way? Cat knows she's in serious trouble being in such close quarters with Jack. She's never loved anyone else, and he's even more attractive than ever. Something's got to give, and hearts must compromise and come clean before true happiness can be found. The poignancy with which the author handled the couple's loss of their child, and how each of them suffered in their own way, added such depth to the sweet and sexy romance story line. Eternity Springs is a wonderful place for readers to visit, catching up with old acquaintances and making new friends, all under the watchful eye of benevolent benefactress Celeste Blessing.Review Copy Gratis Library Thing

Before I give my review of this book, I must make a FULL disclosure. I'm a little biased. I love the entire Eternity Springs series. Nightingale Way is the fifth book in the series, if you aren't counting the Christmas novella. With that being said, Nightingale Way is a stand alone book.I've been waiting for Jack to have his time in the spotlight since the first book, Angel's Rest. In the previous four books, Jack's character has played a supporting role. Now, finally, we're able to actually find out who Jack really is and what makes him tick.Nightingale Way takes place about five years after the tragedy occurs. The Eternity Springs series is known for having wounded characters who need to come to terms with their past. Nightingale Way is no different. Unlike the other books, where you are only dealing with one character needing and trying to heal, Nightingale Way offers you two. Jack and Cat each have their own issues, separate from the issues they have together. Jack has been scared since childhood and in a sense is still chasing those demons. Cat experiences what I'm sure millions of girls experience. She realizes that things aren't truly black and white and the way they seem. What I love about this series, is its self help aspect. There are passages where you're given the opportunity to look inward at yourself. To explore yourself on a much deeper level. To grow a little. My favorite quote from the book is: "It's important not to dwell on the past. A glance back now and again doesn't hurt anything, but a person needs to look forward. Life moves forward no matter what, and we miss a lot of living if we spend our time looking over our shoulder."Nightingale Way is a true fictional romance. It's one of the reasons I love the series. The characters all find their true happy ever after. But what I really loved about this book is that Nightingale Way takes you through a healing and realization journey.I received this book from the publisher in order to provide a review. But it must also be noted that this was a book I was looking forward to buying and reading since earlier this year.Reviewed through Read Your Writes

This is the latest in Emily March's Eternity Springs books. The story is about Jack Davenport and his ex wife Catherine. When Catherine is threatened Jack kidnaps her and takes her to his home. During their time together they set to rest things that tore them apart.I love this series of books. Not only do you meet new characters but you get to visit old friends. Each book in the series is unique, as this one is. Ms. March's writing style just flows through the storyline. It's a book that once you start reading it you just don't want to put it down. The story envelops you and does not let go until the last line is read. I anxiously await new books in this series.

I got this book from Library Thing Early Reviewers. I am a fan of romance, but I found Cat and Jack's situation, including his job, her situation with the blogging backlash, and the entire town of Eternity Springs, to be completely unrealistic. I need characters and plot elements to feel authentic in order to like a book, and this didn't do it for me. I found the characters to be flat in spite of the author's exposition of their backstories and troubled relationship. Unfortunately, I don't think I would read another book by this author.

Cat and Jack's marriage fell apart. There were many reasons. She's an investigative reporter who has done a story that got a lot of important people in real trouble. Someone didn't like what she had written and tried to harm her. She is whisked away to safety by none other than Jack - in a rather nefarious way.Where he takes her turns out to be some kind of haven that has turned around the lives of any people - will it do the same for her, for them?
