I wanted to enjoy the story and the concept that was created but I've come to the conclusion that I just can't gel with Karpov Kinrade writing style.

I've read a few other books by this author and this one was definitely more of a favourite but I couldn't get into it. Maybe it was the heroine? I really can't put my finger on it but the plot was interesting and the world that was created.
