SPLID storytelling and a welcome respite from the same old same when it comes to a novel amount of black woman and anything other than a black man. So tired of every relationships being fetishized. This story grabbed me from the first and while I can't say it was a perfect read by any means, it's definitely impressive. I feel like the relationship paspect could have been givenmore pages considering their time alone was so rare but for the length and the ground it covered I can understand. To really do a story like this justice it would have to be twice as long.
3 stars for the writing talent that's clear throughout. But lack of detailed relationship building substituted with friction.
