    The story was all right. I think the Netflix series ruined it for me a bit because I really like that badass Helen. This one felt a bit bland...

    But what really disappointed me was the narrator! I had never listened to such a choppy, hesitant narration. I am amazed it made it through editing. I also disliked how little creativity there was in the voices, in comparison to the other Sweet Magnolias narrators. I can't believe how dull and amateurish the narration was. It was hard to enjoy the audiobook when I was so distracted by her poor narration. I will never listen to another audiobook narrated by her. Ugh.

    The narrator lacked. She totally missed the fact that this is South Carolina and they speak slowly and with a draw.
