About this audiobook
Six months can feel like a just couple of weeks when you’ve been away in another realm. Literally. Now that Darian is back in Seattle, she’s ready to face the life—and the man—she left behind. But it’s not going to be easy when a ghost from her past shows up looking to wreak havoc on Seattle’s supernatural crime scene. Darian isn’t as careless as she used to be, though. She and Tyler, her sexy Jinn protector, have come a long way in the trust department. And it’s a good thing too—because when Ty contracts her to assassinate a wickedly powerful supernatural who goes by the name of Mithras, it will take all her faith in Ty, and herself, to get the job done. While Darian does whatever it takes to get to her mark, Xander, the Shaede King is busy making plans of his own. With Darian’s attention divided between Lorik’s secrets and her mission she might not be able to stop Xander from doing anything in his power to separate Darian from her sworn protector and in the process, destroy his own kingdom…

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5After so many poor decisions, Darian has taken a vacation to the time world and come back to face the for from her past. She is still juggling Zander and Tyler and finally admits she still has trust issues and refused to be dominated by either supernatural. I liked this book best in the series so far.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The writing style is good and the narration is great! But, the main character Darian is so stupid and weak it's frustrating. She doesn't seem to get any better. So I had to stop.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I get part way through and stopped listening. Stared again because I forgot why I stopped. Main character is stupid and makes the same mistakes over and over.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Good book but I am getting frustrated with the stupidity of Darrian. She refuses to speak about her feelings with the men she loves, acts like a selfish fool and I am unsure if I want to see her survive the series. Rather, I like Anja, that takes no bullsh*t and is real. Darrian could only survive in a fantasy fictional book. In real life she would have accidently killed herself with her amazing, solve everything weapons.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a hard read. The after effects of what Cade did to her, heavy reading...especially if you understand even a small amount of that struggle. The emotional strain and then dealing with life issues. I mean come on, she gave herself two weeks verse the 6 months everyone else had. No time to deal, then she's up and fighting again.
Tyler or Zander....man I can't choose. I mean Tyler, he didn't deny he moved on, I kept waiting on him to say it wasn't true...nope he doesn't. Zander is a big headed over pressuring King but he would burn his crown for her....oh I wish she could have both!1 person found this helpful
