About this audiobook

With the help of her mentor, Raif, Darian has spent the past few months searching for Delilah, Azriel’s accomplice in his coup against the Shaede nation. But now that they’ve flushed the half-crazed Oracle from hiding, a shocking truth is revealed. One that’s too painful for Raif to entertain, and too enticing for Darian to ignore.

Determined to reunite Raif with the daughter he thought dead, Darian is ready to do whatever it takes, including teaming up with a mysterious Fae warrior who offers his assistance, even at an extraordinary price. When her protector, Tyler, is almost killed, Darian realizes there’s more at stake than she thought. But her singlehanded mission has become an obsession, driving a wedge between her and the protector who’s sworn to her for eternity. To see her mission to its end, Darian is faced with a choice she never thought she’d have to make—between the man she loves like a brother, and the man whose love she can’t live without…

Editor's Note

Higher Stakes...

Shaede Assassin Darian’s life is more complicated now that she’s emotionally involved. When she discovers her mentor Raif has a daughter, she embarks on a mission to locate the girl, forcing her to team up with previous enemies. Bonilla’s “Shaede Assassin” series ramps up the emotional and physical stakes with each book, putting Darian in constant — and gripping — danger.

I like it except it has to many dull flashback moments. Like the author was trying to make the book longer with to many things we already knew

Too much repetition. The fights were dragged longer than comfortable by repeating the same things over and over again.

I enjoy the series but Darian makes the most idiotic choices. I hope she grows in the next book and learns from her stupid mistakes

Riveting. Darrian is flawed, but she grew and matured. The last chapters left me with tears of sadness rolling down my cheeks. A first in so many years. Thank you Amanda Bonilla for writing these books. You are now one of my favourite authors. Keep writing and know you have the spark that makes a great writer. Thank you.

In the first book the Heroine had a niavete that was understandable. It fit the charachter because she was kept in the dark about a lot of information. In this book it just feels like she has no common sense. She does not stop and ask questions. She has resources she could use but ignores them. It is as this book was written by a male and I'm male. There is no regard for the growth and maturing of the charachter.

This is an entertaining but frustrating series. Darian makes really stupid decisions knowing what might happen. Then when she has to face the consequences she acts shocked. Darian doesn't deserve Tyler or anyone else. She's an idiot. But I guess I'm one as well because I keep listening to the books to see what happens next.
