About this audiobook

With new supernatural creatures popping up at every turn (Ghouls? Really?), the city divided, and a long-lost cousin blazing into town, Violet Jordan has a lot on her mind. Oh, not to mention she’s supposed to be planning a wedding. Chaz has got to be the best, most patient (and probably clinically insane) fiancé around.

But defeating her sworn enemy in a battle for the souls of Dallas is going to require more than just her full attention. It means learning to depend on everyone—especially Chaz—if any one is going to make it out of this alive. Because if Plan A doesn’t work, she’s going to need them for Plan B. And Plan C…

Editor's Note

Werepanther Wedding...

A werepanther’s work is never done. This is the third book in Arista’s “Diaries of an Urban Panther” series, and Violet has to plan her wedding, not to mention save all the souls in Dallas. “Nine Lives of an Urban Panther” is fast-paced, fun, and inventive.

    Addictive story!

Great world-building, relatable characters you can't help but love, and excellent storytelling skills. This is the third book in this series and I can't wait to read more by this author.

I only wish the narration was on par with the story. It was a bit hard at times to tell which character was speaking.

So easy to get caught up with the characters lives and emotional feelings that are influenced by situations evolving around them. Humor is used well to keep things flowing without letting plot get to mired down .

I love the consistency of Arista's magical universes, and I am a fan, but having the frase "he/she/it lick her/his/its lips " every 10 sentences is a bit much...

All three books are interesting and engaging, but I don't think this was the right narrator for the character. Unfortunately, she makes the main character sound bratty, whiney, immature, and much younger than her stated 28 years. I found this very annoying.
There is also a large amount of repetition, I feel that editing out some of that filler would be a benefit to the flow and pace of the story.

I like the characters and world building but the narrator made the main character seem weak, flighty, and kind of boring. But I think the author wrote her as strong, determined, and complex.
Also, the funny banter was so cringy the way it was narrated so stiffly and hurriedly. DNF due to narrator.
