About this audiobook

There are a million and one reasons not to fall for her best friend’s twin. Too bad love isn’t reasonable…

He may make her geeky heart beat faster, but Abby’s crush on Zane needs to die. Not only is he her best friend’s twin—an epic violation of friend code—but he’s her total opposite. Oh, and right now? He’s also her client.

Zane’s startup has enough headaches. He doesn’t need the added stress of having his sister’s irritatingly adorable friend taking over his office and getting under his skin--in more ways than one. His company’s launch may rest on Abby’s shoulders, but the cost to Zane’s sanity and his heart might be too high.

When Abby and Zane are forced together on an investor’s weekend, the lines blur between business and personal, between friendship and something much more.

Can this buttoned-up businessman and quirky coder take a risk on love despite the odds?

Excellent story. I loved the two narrators it added depth to the story. A fun, hilarious, romantic comedy.

The book was great, super cute! But the playback was HORRIBLE! I thought other reviews on other books with complaints about the playback were just user error. NOPE! It’s a real issue.

Is it weird that I hoped that it was an identical twin? Like a best friends with a dude, fall for his twin type thing?

Also, the over dramatization of her needing to look slightly more “conservative” for a business dinner was annoying. Changing your appearance to match the work culture is just something you do as an adult. If they asked her to dress more provocatively to get the deal done, that would be an issue. You can be quirky/different and still dress professionally.

Really fun, lighthearted sweet romcom! Narration is good and I thoroughly enjoyed the story!

Cute story though the end was choppy. The narration was painful… really painful. The female narrator read over pronounced and way too slow. It didn’t flow right at all and her inflection made each sentence sound like a question. She had great voices for each character but the off pace made the book really hard to enjoy.

A lovely rom-com, perfect for people who love hallmark movies and want to read a romance with low steam. I love the story from the two different perspectives and appreciates the narrators who played both parts. A fun start to a series that will focus on different romantic-comedy tropes.

Nice story, I wanted to finish this book. I did, but not without difficulties. The male narrator has that vibration in his voice, that I guess is supposed to sound sexy, but using it in more then one sentence is really annoying. I had some moments when I had to pause to think about wanting to finish the book.
And the constant comparing the fmc to the mother of the mmc was annoying too after the first few times. It was supposed to make me feel sympathy for the guy, but got old really fast.
Other then that, nice story, nice groop of friends. The backstory about the mobbing at school could have been told a lot earlier.

Loved it! Emma’s books have everything I want from a rom com: good chemistry, witty banter and great characters. Definitely recommend!

Is Abby really questioning everything or it’s just the female narrator dropping the question marks after every sentence?

It took me a while to get used to hearing a man reading part of an audiobook, especially with ear buds in! The story was okay.
