About this audiobook
He’s too hot for words.
Mia:
Alex Lawson might as well be the hottest book boyfriend imaginable. A fun, romantic, possessive, panty-melting man. And the best part? He’s real. For a girl like me—a slightly awkward book addict—Alex is a dream come true, straight off the pages of my favorite romance novels.
But our story is turning into a whirlwind romance—the kind that only exists in books. Are we heading toward our own happily ever after? Or is he too good to be true?
Alex:
Here’s the thing: I’m not a bad guy. Lying to Mia wasn’t part of the plan. Finding success as a romance author using a female pen name wasn’t part of the plan either. But sometimes life takes unexpected turns.
Like realizing the woman you’re falling for is your alter-ego’s online best friend.
Online, she thinks I’m a woman named Lexi. In person, she knows I’m all man. I want to worship her body and claim every inch of her. But if she discovers my secret, I could lose everything.
***Book Boyfriend is a stand alone romance with a guaranteed to make you swoon HEA. It contains mature language and content and is intended for a mature audience. Fair warning, ladies—Alex will melt your panties off, so have an extra pair on hand before you one click.***

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a fun, sweet story and I enjoyed it a lot! I love a good steamy book, but I have to say, I think this one would have been even better without so much sex. It felt like the sex scenes didn’t match with the characters. While I loved the male narrator’s voice most of the time, he made tithe sex scenes sound like they were written in shouty capitals. Those things aside, it was most enjoyable!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This fluffy romance was exactly what I needed right now. It was sweet, uncomplicated and a bit cheesy but a reminder that the right person will find your idiosyncrasies endearing. I love that Alex was a cynic of long lasting relationships but now he’s been converted.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was light, cute, not at all problematic, and very well written. Proof that romance doesn't have to be tacky and icky.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/510/10 would recommend , the characters were well written and the development was goood!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fun read, sweet and easy a lovely ending. Can't wait for Claire next book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Omg!!! I loved this book so much. The passion is extraordinary and the guy that reads it 10/10! Obsessed!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Chefs kiss. Perfection. Everything I wanted and needed! Both characters are cinnamon rolls!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53 and 1/2 stars! This was a cute story. I liked the male romance author secret spin. The characters were likable however the female MC seemed a little weak as she was a little too self deprecating for me, but maybe it was just my mood. I did think the author could have given us more build up between the 2 main characters prior to meeting as she noted they had grown so close online that Mia considered Alex to be her like her “best friend”. I kind of wish she had let us into those exchanges and built that up more prior to meeting as it would have made the meet cute more emotionally charged than it was. Another reviewer seemed to like that the intimate scenes were from the male point of view, but as a female reader (amongst mostly female romance readers) I would have preferred female point of view or at least both.
Unfortunately, this was also another one of those Scribd books that had multiple blank spots where it says it’s playing but you miss parts. Not sure what’s going on with that. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My first read by the author and I can’t wait to read the next in the series! Steamy and sweet, with well-developed characters, but not filled with gratuitous cursing...just what I’ve been looking for! Narration was great!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5love love loved this audiobook. Narrators we’re fantastic. Story was soooooo cute. Yes predictable but still cute.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love every minute of it, both narrators did a great job.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely Loved listening to this audiobook! This was so much fun! The story of Alex and Mia was so exciting!! Never know what to expect with these two!
Fun, Loving, Exciting.....A tad bit emotional!
The intimate moments was hot as hell! The male narrator made this part very exciting to say the least!
I highly recommend this audiobook!! You will Love this!! - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Quirky klutzy dream girl. I hate her. And I hate books about her. This story was cute in that icky sort of way that makes me nauseous. It had no surprises as we knew exactly what was going to happen. But what I did really like was the MMC as a romance writer with a feminine pen name. That was cool but I wish the story had been stronger.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A book within a book, as a first listening to this author this book was very cute. Highly enjoyable, good premis, likeable characters and good job on the narrators part. Would definitely be listening to the next two books in this series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Book 1 in series.Not standalone books.Read them in order.Hot and funny romance.Claire Kingsley’s a new author for me.Will listen/read all of her books
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5HORRÍVEL, personagens chatos e a narração nao ajudou nenhum pouco.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5 Stars for me
The story itself was cute and I enjoyed the build up between the MCs but the conflict went a bit OTT. The h has every right to be upset but mature adults talk about it instead of cutting their partner off cold. The overall ending was cute but the long whoa is me head dialogs took a star away for me. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Meh, 2/3 and I give up it's so boring. I gave it a try
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I thought this was a great story, the dilemma unusual and the resolution satisfying without being overly dramatic. The narration was excellent.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The book was pretty good, but I did not like the mail reader. Also, the audio production was poor quality.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Hot damn the audio book is soooo worth listening too, and usually I prefer to read my books. The voice for Alex is completely sinful. And him reading the sex scenes is powerful. I mean blush worthy. All the emotion really comes through. I enjoyed the premise, I mean who didn't enjoy "You've got Mail" and I especially got a kick out of them referring to the movie! So cute! I do think Mia overreacted to him keeping the secret. Don't get me wrong she had every right to be pissed but they love each other so she shouldn't have just run out on him and ignored him for days. That being said I get it, the story needed some angst and drama and this did it. Plus him writing the book we were reading for her. So cute.
Seriously though, Alex' voice ???? - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A good read if you're into the genre. Sweet, sexy, well paced.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Laugh out loud funny, hot and steamy in all the right places with characters who have depth!! Loved this book - actually the entire series is good.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Way too many sexual scenes. The story is a bit boring.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome book! I loved it! Loved the audiobook also! ,
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was amazing! For some reason I didn't realize that those 3 books come as a series, so first book I read was Cocky roommate, then Hot single dad. And both of them were fine, but nothing special. So, I didn't have big expectations from this one. But, Book Boyfriend was awesome! Just awesome! Now I have to read all of Claire Kingsley's books!
