I’ve been a Nicole Falls fan for a long time, and this story ramped up her storytelling style by focusing on an established couple, Josh and Ginger, and some of the challenges that come along with the routine of a long term relationship. I loved the normalization of mental health and family dynamics in this story and Christy Clark does a great job voicing everyone from Ginger’s mother to her children for the entirety of the novelette.

Hmmm, I didn’t get who and why’s of “The Illumination of Ginger”. There was no fluidity. If there was a plot and or a character development for the primary Ginger, other being presumptuous maybe even paranoid, I missed it as well. Nonetheless. The narrator was excellent

Lovely holiday novella! Noelle has lost her love of Christmas after her father’s untimely death. Her sister’s enlist her estranged male best friend to rekindle her holiday sparkle. He’s hoping to repair their friendship and become more than friends. Super sweet holiday outings around Chicago ensue, with romance definitely sparking between the two. A bit of a slow burn, with a steamy finale.
