Description

Today I speak with IFBB Pro Abby Reyna a personal trainer and owner of Reign Athletics gym in Houston, Texas. She started to compete in 2018 as a way to challenge herself to overcome shyness and discomfort in big crowds. Sh won her Pro card the next year at only her second show ever, and then took an extended growth season, making her Pro debut in 2021. Because of her decision to compete, she found her love for the fitness industry, which lead her to opening her gym.    Abby offers important advice, especially for new competitors, about being present for the journey.    TOPICS COVERED -essentials for beginners  -don’t be hard on yourself after a show -body dysmorphia -women in business -starting a side hustle -mentoring young gym members -avoiding comparison  -sustainable preps -being a gym owner -her relationship with her husband   CONNECT WITH CELESTE: Website: http://www.celestial.fit Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/celestial_fit/ All Links: http://www.celestial.fit/links.html CONNECT WITH ABBY: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_abbyreyna/ Gym: https://www.instagram.com/reignathleticsgym/   TIME STAMPS 1:00 introduction 4:29 her first prep  8:35 feeling discouraged after a show 11:58 comparing amateur and pro preps 14:30 finding sustainability 21:27 growth through constructive criticism  24:30 learning about bodybuilding through her husband 26:10 having a degree in finance & entrepreneurship 33:45 deciding to open in Houston  36:21 challenges faced running a gym 41:05 marrying her high school sweetheart 44:20 mentoring young gym members 48:25 helping immigrant youth find resources 53:56 being a personal trainer 55:10 having a love for travel 58:05 keeping passion in your relationship 59:03 goals for competing 60:45 advice for competitors      CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE FOOD RELATIONSHIP COACHING SERIES   CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE POST SHOW BLUES COACHING SERIES   LEARN MORE AND APPLY FOR MY 5 WEEK FOOD RELATIONSHIP HEALING & DISCOVERY COACHING PROGRAM   FOR OTHER FREE RESOURCES, LIVE EVENTS, AND WAYS TO WORK WITH CELESTE CLICK HERE
