The LSU Tigers secured its seventh baseball national championship in program history after taking down the Florida Gators 18-4 in the third game of the College World Series Final. Going into this season LSU was the unanimous number one team in the country touting the number one recruiting class in the country, the number one transfer portal class in the country, with the best pitcher and best player in the country, and after all of those accolades and a long, difficult season the Tigers are official national champions for the first time since 2009 in Jay Johnson's second year as the skipper in Baton Rouge.
