LSU punched their ticket to the College World Series final after defeating number one overall seed Wake Forest in two consecutive games, featuring one instant classic which featured the two best pitchers in college baseball and a walk-off two run bomb from Tommy White in extras. In Game 1 against the Gators, LSU pitcher Ty Floyd recorded the most strikeouts ever in a College World Series game striking out 17 Gators while giving up three runs on five hits. Cade Beloso's home plate heroics helped the Tigers yet again after his home run in the top of the 11th inning sealed the deal for the purple and gold. A brutal 20-run loss didn't help LSU's case but overall throughout the postseason it seems like there is a little bit of magic and a whole lot of clutch performances that have been on LSU's side. There is no better way to capitalize on those performances with a win Monday night against Florida to bring home the program's seventh national title.
