Breathe in deep,

And fill yourself with air. 

Hold it for just a moment,

And then release,

Exhaling all that air out. 

PAUSE…

One more deep breath in,

Expanding your body with air,

Feeling it gather everything up,

And then exhale, 

All the way out,

Releasing the heaviness inside. 

PAUSE…

Let your face soften,

Your jaw release,

And drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth. 

PAUSE…

Relax your neck, 

Lower your shoulders,

And feel the waves of softness,

Roll down from the top of your back,

All the way down your spine.

LONG PAUSE…

Imagine yourself in the arms of the night,

Safe and loved.

PAUSE…

She rocks you gently,

And whispers in your ear. 

PAUSE…

I see you.

You are loved,

Relax deeply into the night,

And know that you’re okay.
