Description

98 Year Old Ewing Fahey recounts her life as a trailblazer. She was the first female editor of the University of Louisville's Cardinal Newspaper at age 19, the first female reporter at WAVE Radio during WWII, and the first female Advertising Manager for Louisville Magazine. She also served as editor of the same magazine for two years. In between, at age 21, she packed up her bags and left for New York City as a single gal, and tells of a most extraordinary time in the city's history.Ewing started her sculpting career in her 40s and overcame the fear of going back to school to learn a new craft, showing finally at age 58. She has since shown over 66 times . Ewing encourages women over 50 to listen to their inner voice  and then do it while learning to say no to others in order to protect your most valuable asset, your time.Ewing is soft-spoken and zoom is touchy, so for best listening - do without headphones. This is the first in what I hope will be a reoccurring part of the podcast - interviewing older women with amazing insight to aging.  I'm calling it the "Inspiration Series".
