Description

Waiting for the last minute to get an assignment done isn't just procrastination! Rushing out the door at the last minute, isn't just time blindness!! Guess what!!? Our ADHD brains crave and thrive on URGENCY!  In this episode, I invite you into my own use of urgency as I recorded this just 15 minutes before going to get my kiddos from school! That sense of urgency drove my motivation and momentum to get it done before leaving!  When you have the intention of getting something accomplished, creating your own sense of urgency is a strategy that may help gain the momentum you need too! Use preferred activities as tools, set a visual timer or alarm on your watch/phone!  Which areas of your life can you use urgency as a strategy/tool for momentum!? If you'd like to recieve weekly emails with my most recent podcast episode and added resources, hop on my email list www.katelynmabry.com! Visit www.focusforwardadhd.com to schedule a FREE ADHD coaching consult to discover if that would be a potential next step for you and your kiddo to take!  I look forward to being with you again next week! Please email me with topic ideas or if your kiddo would like to be featured in a future episode!! Kids LOVE hearing from other kids! You are seen, you are understood, and you are loved!!!

Journey With Me Through ADHD: A Podcast for Kids is designed for children with ADHD to listen to and feel understood. It will educate, empower, and encourage listeners to understand their uniquely wired, neurodivergent minds. The challenges will be discussed, mindset growth will be encouraged, and strengths/gifts will be celebrated! ADHD will grow from an excuse to a reason that we need to face challenges head on and become an advocate for the incredible strengths that we have!
