Description

Raise your hand if you have a hard time getting started on a task or something new?! My hand is raised and I am guessing many of your hands are raised too!  The reason that this is so tricky, is because the executive function part of our ADHD brain struggles with the skill of "initiating tasks!" Yep, you are not alone and this is a common battle for many! We beat ourselves up over getting started on things and that is because we hit a road block in our brains and often are hit with not knowing where or how to start! In this short but sweet episode, I share a few simply, but super useful tips of how we can rev our engines and get going on different tasks throughout our day!  Your hints for this episode are pieces and timers. I hope you are able to put these tips/tools into practice and they help your tasks become easier to begin!!  Visit me on my website www.katelynmabry.com to subscribe to my email list or check out my book for kids...or email me at katelynmabry4@gmail.com to set up a free consultation, share topic ideas and let me know if your child would like to have their voice on this podcast! I want to be sure kids feel seen and heard!!   Have a blessed day! love you all!
