Description
There are many misconceptions and inaccurate statements made in popular media about the concept, strategies, and outcomes of Metabolic Efficiency TrainingTM. In this episode, Dina presents several of these misconceptions to Bob for a response and explanation to help clear the confusion for you listeners.
We break down these statements:
Maximal fat oxidation occurs between 60-70% of VO2peak.
Is the Maffetone method the same as MET?
Burning more fat doesn’t make you faster.
Any performance benefits seen from a keto or low carb diet are a result of weight loss that occurs, not from the diet directly.
Training is really the only factor that improves the body’s use of its fuel sources.
Female athletes are already good at burning fat.
