Description
A documentary called Cops and Cabins allowed cops to decompress and find their safe space. When Eric Reynolds saw himself in that short film, he realized how heavy and sick he looked. As a cop, he maintained an active lifestyle, playing basketball and carrying weights, but as heavy as he was, it led him to several injuries. He learned about the ketogenic diet from a friend. Being unfamiliar with it, he read several books about it before he began his keto journey, including meal planning and macros tracking. More than weight loss and physical changes, he also saw improvements in his mental health, perception, and emotional stability. In this episode, the retired police officer discusses his struggles with PTSD and how the carnivore and ketogenic diets have improved his general health.Quick Guide:01:05 Introduction04:05 Developing trauma12:39 Police work and family life18:10 Change in his psyche21:57 Health improvements for cops to enjoy their retirement25:10 The workout and diet routine27:59 How keto helped in one’s change in perception33:35 The Cops and Campers41:15 Improve other areas of your life to cope with the stress of your job46:51 Mental clarity and emotional stability47:50 How Keto Five-O is helping people52:18 His family’s carnivore diet1:00:53 Closing and contactsGet to know our guest:Eric Reynolds is a retired police officer who advocates ketogenic carnivore lifestyle.
