Description

Navigating relationships with your partner, friends, and family can be difficult for anyone. It can become even more difficult when those people diet regularly while you have a rough relationship with what you eat. It’s a rocky combination. Instead of avoiding these people, and subsequently, your life, you need to learn how to talk to these people. Going through the recovery process alone can be a terrifying path, but having strong relationships with people that you can open yourself up to can help make it a smoother ride. To keep these healthy relationships, it is important to set boundaries with these people. Stay tuned to hear Whitney’s advice on just how to do that.  Whitney shares: Letting people in on your recovery when you feel ready Easiest ways to tell someone about your mental health problems Internalizing negative self-talk from the outside Staying on the same team as yourself Practicing patience with others around what they say The two kinds of people you are going to deal with Following up your words with actions It’s not your job to do these things Finding ways to support others without convincing them that they are wrong Making it known that help is available Dealing with significant others that are dieting Signs that someone is struggling with their own body image What to do when you inevitably mess up   Links to Resources: For the free binge meditation, go to www.whitneycatalano.com/binge New clients can book coaching services at www.whitneycatalano.com/book If you are ready to heal your relationship with food, break free from binge eating, and step into your authentic power, learn more about coaching with me at: www.whitneycatalano.com/food-freedom
