In this episode we discuss Heather Anderson’s, experienced hiker, ultramarathoner, and record holder of the fastest self-supported Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) thru-hike (60 days, 17 hours, 12 minutes), numerous hiking endeavors she completed before her speed PCT hike, including the Continental Divide Trail, Appalachian Mountain Trail, and the PCT once prior. Heather reveals the challenges of her record-holding PCT hike, including a recount of her most difficult day and four encounters with mountain lions. She shares on her love of ultrarunning, including her most recent attempt at the Barkley 100. Heather describes her food/ nutrition philosophy and what trails are on her bucketlist.
