Courtney Dauwalter is a professional trail runner for Salomon, living in Golden Colorado. She won the Western States 100 in 2018, the 2019 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB), as well as having wins at multiple races and distances worldwide. She has represented the USA at the 24 Hour World Championship, and is a former American Record holder in the 24 hour event. Just after this interview was recorded, Courtney was named Ultrarunning Magazines  #1 Ultra Runner of the Year (UROY) for 2019, for the second year in a row.
