ADVANCED LEVEL PLAYERS:
This book provides an objective evaluation system for pool and billiards players. Test groups include progressively difficult shots. The testing process determines your current skills. A log allows you to compare previous efforts against current abilities.
Scoring system can be for:
Skills Measurement - The test groups identify current playing skills with actual results. The testing process uses multiple attempts that remove the luck factor and reveal reality.
Self-Knowledge - Because the test groups strip away fuzzy personal assumptions, the player can make more intelligent table decisions.
Personal Training Program - Test groups with low scores identify what areas must be improved. A personalized skill development program can be developed, based on results.
Competitive Skills Comparison - players compare their individual skills. Competitions can occur in person or (with referees), internationally. This can be done within in a casual competition or formal tournament environment.

Introduction
The test sequences advance from easy to difficult setups. This book has three purposes:
Skills Measurement
The test exams identify current playing skills. The process removes the luck factor and reveals reality.
Self-Knowledge
These test exams strip away fuzzy personal assumptions. The reality check helps you make more intelligent table decisions.
Personal Training Program
Low scores identify areas to be improved. Use this to develop a personalized training program.
Testing Process
This is the recommended testing process:
Select the test exam(s).
Place donuts for ball positions or zones.
Play the shots and record results on the scoring sheet.
On completion of each exam, add the scores.
Analyze results and make improvement plans.
Competitions
These exams can be used in competitions. Handicap options can be configured as needed. Multiple players can compete on a single table.
Be Honest
When practicing, practice. Follow the rules for the test exam. Score according to actual performance. Don’t start self-testing and then decide
the past few attempts were only practice shots.
Section 1 – Pocket OB Skills
These test exams are:
(SIS) Straight In Shots - 3 tests (Max: 15 points)
(ACS) Angled Corner Shots - 9 tests (Max: 45 points)
(FRS) Frozen Rail Shots - 9 tests (Max: 45 points)
(CPS) Corner Pocket Shots- 6 tests (Max: 30 points)
(SPS) Side Pocket Shots - 6 tests (Max: 30 points)
Purpose
Pocket the OB. Some shots may require mechanical bridge.
Setup
Place donuts on the table according to the test exam layouts.
Scoring
For each test, three attempts are allowed.
1 in 3 = 1 point
2 in 3 = 2 points
3 in 3 = 5 points

Recommendation for Left Side /Right Side Testing
Layouts are configured to one side of the table. For training purposes, setup layouts for the opposite side.
