In the radio world, both professional and amateur, there are two types of radio, analog and digital. The best example for analog would be your voice. As for digital, there are many modes available, including the nowvery popular FT8. In addition, older modes such as PSK31, RTTY (radioteletype), and CW (Morse code) continue to be popular.

Even though it is sometimes difficult, I try to be a glass-is-half-full instead of half-empty person. So, in order to keep the positive side of me active during this pandemic, I have taken the opportunity to explore new facets of amateur radio.

Currently, the mode I am working on is Morse code. I am trying to relearn and get up to speed during this time frame. Other hams have told me that it is like riding a bike. “Once you learn it, you never forget.” I must agree with that as well. Relearning the code was easy; however, improving my speed is the problem. It always has been for me.
