    Sadie - Jeri Andrew

    Chapter 1

"Taurus 9, come in Taurus 9, is anyone there?

This is Erath 8, is anyone out there?

    Taurus, are you guys around?

Please, if you can hear me, please, answer!"

You reached us, Erath, what's going on?

    "Total Chaos!

There is a comet, a huge comet, headed right at us!

Taurus 9, we have no way to deflect the thing!

It's as big, if not bigger, than the state of Texas!!

Is there anything you guys can do to make it miss us?

    Please?"

How far away is it? And, who am I speaking to? Brian asked.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm Cass Blain. I'm one of the other news reporters here at the station.

Can your watchers evacuate our planet, or can y’all deflect that comet?

    Please?"

Hang on Cass, btw, I'm Brian, I'm a royal guard. Let me call King George.

George was a bit surprised to hear the news.

Have y'all locked on to the comet? Can we see it? George asked. Raynar! George called out.

George filled Raynar in, showing him the comet flying through Erath's Solar System, headed right for Erath!

A comet the size of the largest state in the United States of America, would be a planet killer, for sure!

Raynar called Jax. It was decided that the Guardians of Drea should attempt to handle the problem.

All three watcher brothers decided to join the guardians. Worst case scenario, they would speak to their father about interfering and see if he couldn’t get rid of the killer ice cube...

    Jax readied the tunnels.

Cass, come in, Cass, are you there? Cass, are you there?

    Yes, Brian, I’m here!

"Cass, the guardians of Drea are on their way to attempt to deflect the thing. Hang in there, buddy, help is on the way!

    Try to calm your citizens!

We are going to do everything in our power to prevent Erath from being destroyed!

    I promise you that!"

So, the guardians are on their way to Earth?

"No, the comet isn’t at Erath. They are on their way to the comet itself, to prevent it from taking you out!

You should be able to see them with the viewing screens we are providing for you....they left about an hour ago, or so, and Cass, they have 3 royal watchers with them!

The three that will one day sit as kings....

    Hang in there!

Have everyone on Erath focus on the guardians! Send them as much of your focused energy as you possibly can!"

Gotcha! And Brian, thanks, man! Thanks.

Just do us a favor, live right!

"Some of us try to do just that. The problem is, too many don't.

Still, as bad as our planet can be sometimes, there is a lot of good as well.

We don't want to die, Brian. We don't want our planet to be destroyed! We all love our Earth. It may not look like we do, but we really do."

Cass, Erath has been hit before. The meteor that did the most damage actually split the part you live on, off of the main planet.

What? I don't understand, the bewildered Cass replied.

"Back in Erath's early history, she was part of a much large planet, closer to the size of Taurus 9.

The creatures that lived on the planet at the time, were what y'all refer to as dinosaurs.

A huge meteor struck the planet so hard, it broke a piece of the planet off, sending it hurling into space towards your central star... it was void and without form.

The atmosphere was destroyed, causing everything on that piece to freeze instantly.

God, in his mercy, saw to it that Erath found it's place to orbit the central star, making it the third planet from the star, where it has been in orbit ever since.

The new orbit allowed the planet to be reborn.

The atmosphere was restored by God himself.

He spent 6 days and 6 nights restoring Erath.

He rested on the 7th day.

He created mankind on Erath and he created woman as his companion, believing that man should not be alone.

He gave mankind dominion over Erath and all that inhabited Erath.

Unfortunately, man cannot be trusted to do what's right and good, as proven by his history with dragon kind.

Over the millenniums, watchers have taken many evacuated people, as well as creatures, to Erath to live.

Erath has suffered alien invasions before, too.

Several millennium ago, Erath was occupied by Aliens. Then she was struck by another meteor, so large that it knocked Erath off of her axis, causing her to wobble, creating harsh weather conditions, as well as deserts, both hot and frozen wastelands.

The meteor strike flooded your planet.

God knew the meteor was headed for Erath, so, he Instructed his servant to build an arc and told him to load 2 of every kind of creature onto the arc in order to replenish Erath after the flood waters went down to reveal land again.

The meteor strike actually served a good purpose. You see, Erath had been occupied by an alien race that stripped Erath of her natural resources.

After the great flood, all of the aliens were destroyed and the planet was able to heal herself, while the creatures of the arc multiplied."

Brian, how is that you know all of this?

We have the ability to view history.

Wow, this is incredible! Our religious books speak of the great flood.

"Yes, at that time, the flood, tho devastating, was what the planet needed in order to survive.

The flood ridded the planet of the alien infestation. Those aliens were giants when compared to you."

Yes, we have found skeletal remains.

"Many of your people are a result of aliens breeding with natives.

Cass, the reason we care about Erath, is because many of our brethren were relocated there.

Over the centuries, they have mated and bred with humans. Most of Erath's population contains dragon DNA."

Wow. Oh wow. Am... Am I.... Am I part Dragon?

I don't know for sure, don't you know?

I have strange dreams of flying, soaring through the skies... Dreams of living inside of mountains and of being able to blow flames....

Then you are most likely dragon. Cass, watch me very carefully. I'm going to focus on my dragon, watch my eyes...

Wow! Wow! Oh Wow! Oh Wow!

"See how easily I shift from man to dragon, back to man? You have to focus. Hey, I have some human blood. Most of us do... We can make ourselves appear human, of course we do!

    Dragons are very sexual beings.

We take full advantage of our looking like humans and breed with their females... We are beasts, after all!"

He and Cass laughed at that comment.

"Cass, come on now, look inside yourself, focus, you can do it, man, find your inner dragon, that's right! Come on, just like that, you're  doing fine, don't be scared.... Come on, you almost had it!

That's right, Cass, your doing it!

Come on, you're doing it! Cass!

    Look at you!

    You did it!

Hey, dude, you're the same kind of dragon as me!

Great to see you, brother! See?

This is why it's so important for us to save Erath!

    Way to go, Cass!

Now, shift back, there will be time to explore your dragon later, first things first.

Let's get you hooked up with video feed.

The Guardians should be getting close..."

    I'm a dragon! I'm a dragon! IM A DRAGON!!!

Yes, you sure are! Same as me, too!

I can hardly wait to fly!

    Do you want to live?

    Of course I do!

    Then focus!

    Sorry.

There it is, and there they are! See them on the screen? Brian asked.

Wow! Look at the size of that chunk of ice!

"Cass, that chunk of ice contains life.

    Water contains life.

Comets fly through space, kind of like sperm looking for an egg to fertilize.

    The comet crashes into planets.

If the conditions are right when the ice melts, the life the water contains, grows.

The guardians don't want to destroy the life contained in the comet.

Not if they can keep from it.

They are going to attempt to change it's course, but, it's headed for Erath because the conditions are right for life to grow.

The problem is, Erath isn't a complete planet, it's only a chip off of a planet.

The comet is much too large for Erath.

But, Comets are not blessed with intelligence.

It knows only that the life it carries can thrive on a rock like Erath, so, it's headed right for her.

Diverting it is no easy task, as it's determined to go there.

There are no other planets in this system that can sustain the life it carries.

The comet grows tired of searching, it just wants to land. Even if in doing so, both it and the planet are destroyed in the process.

    It just wants to arrive.

You people need to focus on the guardians, think about them as hard as you can! They will pull energy from you if you will do that!

Make everyone begin singing to the guardians, that's the best way to insure the power gets sent!

Tell everyone to sing, hallelujah, do y'all know the song?"

"Many do! The rest can learn...

    Attention fellow Earthlings,...."

Cass' broadcast was picked up all over the planet.

Large groups of people gathered together, watching the viewing screens.

As soon as people heard other people they could see on the screens, singing, they, too, began singing!

One of the most incredible phenomenons ever, was when most of the worlds population began singing the same song, while watching the guardians, as well as one another, on huge, split screens, suspended high in the skies!

Those that were not singing, were praying.

Mitchin took a mic to speak, "People of Erath 8,  God hears your prayers, He already sent you the guardians of Drea. I, am an Arc angel, I work directly for Him ...

At this time, He wants you to know that He hears your prayers.

Do you like it when your children ask you the same question repeatedly, even after you've said yes? Ya, well, neither does He!

He sees what’s going on! He doesn’t want you to be destroyed anymore than y’all want to be destroyed. He sees the comet. He’s heard your prayers, now it’s time for y’all to do your parts.

What is needed, is Your focus!

The guardians, sent by Him, in answer to your prayers, need you to send them energy!

Please do your part now and focus!

    Sing!

    Help to empower your heroes!

Uh, those of you who need to get right with God, go ahead and Pray, but as soon as your through, please join the singing!

The whole world needs you now!"

Everyone began cheering for Mitchin! Power surged in his direction!

Yes! He said. Just like that!

More Viewing screens appeared the same as they did on Taurus 9. Humanity watched as the Guardians of Drea began to attempt to steer the massive ice giant away from Earth, and set it in a direction that would take it out of the solar system, where it could search for a different world to seed.

"AlaHanDrea, now is not the time to be acting innocent.

I know that you know how to effect the steering currents, don't even try to deny it!

    I'm not judging you!

Please, if you can cause an entire galaxy to change course, surely you can redirect that comet!"

That's just it, I didn't change the course of the Galaxy. I simply caused a ripple. That ripple grew and grew until it changed the course, she explained.

Then cause a ripple! Jax said rather sternly.

"Sure, as soon as you're through
