About this ebook

While the three of them were able to build the company to new heights, there were two lurking in the shadows, eager to take it down. Not only that, these two were ready to do whatever it took to make sure that these two got what they wanted, and not only that, it proved to all three that these two would cause more trouble than they expected.

But even with the element of trouble looming over them like nothing more, it was obvious what they needed to do. They knew that this was the beginning of their future, and with the gala coming up, it was time for them to not only shine, but to let others know about their relationship, including their strict father. Will the three of them become able to have the relationship they strove to have with one another? Or would it prove to not be the case for anyone?

    Chapter One

Amy, Sam and Darren’s relationship only grew after this point. The three of them started to work together constantly, working to hit the goals that their dad put there for the two of them. For Amy, she enjoyed being this close to both of them, especially with all that’s going on. She knew they were making a difference, especially with all of these little things.

But of course, she did wonder if there was something else in the air. One day, she got a call from a mysterious number, and when she picked it up, she heard breathing on the other line.

    Hello? she asked.

    Amy? the voice said.

    No way. It was him.

Gerald. What the hell do you want, she asked him. She knew it was her former boss. Why did he call her?

Listen, I was let out on bail. I want to go back into my legal practice. I want to speak to you again. To work with you. To make this work, he told her.

She stiffened, unsure of what the hell she was going to do about this. She knew that he was definitely not who she wanted to work with, but she sighed.

Listen Gerald, I can’t talk about this right now. Can we meet up somewhere? I mean, I don’t want to do this, but I want to tell you in person. It’s better that way, she told him.

There was a pause, and then a sigh.

Of course. Just remember that I can’t be out anywhere too obvious. People know my face, so I need to keep a low profile, he said.

That doesn’t make me feel any better about trusting you, you know, she pointed out.

I know, but for your own sake, and for my own, I want to see you. plus, I doubt you’ll refuse my offer, he told her.

    She sighed. Fine, she replied.

The phone was cut off, and when she looked at everything, she knew this could end badly. She had a bad feeling about her former boss being let out of prison so fast. Why did that happen? What the hell did he do? There were so many unanswered questions, so many things she didn’t understand, but she wanted to find out for herself. She didn’t want them to get involved. If he got too creepy, she would call the police. She didn’t need her new lovers to get in the middle of this situation.

    She went over to
