The Runaway Alpha Queen - Msheartlessly

    CHAPTER 46 Bad News

    Chris Point Of View

What do you mean that Crystal will marry Blake? That's unacceptable! Crystal won't allow such a thing! Zion blurted out, but he seems to be calmer than earlier.

Only if she can fight back, I said in a low voice, avoiding more questions from them.

I sat in Celestine's seat earlier which was now standing and noticed the tea on the table. I decided to have some and tasted it.

Hmm, this is nice. Who made this? I asked them, then proceeded to drink.

I was the one who made that, but it's not that important. Could you please tell us what's going on in the Palace? Celestine says.

I drank the tea first before looking at them. It's a long story, but to make it short? Themedeus was the one who handled everything in the Palace. He was under control, everyone in the palace was turned around by him, even the King, so Crystal can't do what he wants if not agreed, I replied.

All of us were surprised when Zion slammed the table before he took a seat. I will not let that happen! I will not allow Crystal to marry someone else. I will stop Themedeus and expel him from your kingdom, he said.

That's good. I smiled, I could still feel the freshness of the tea all over my body. Right now, the only way to prevent marriage is for you to talk to Crystal. I'm sure she'll listen to you. It means you're the only hope we had.

But how? We have no idea where she is exactly and there are more guards in the palace, so we are unlikely to get through without Themedeus knowing, Celestine insisted.

She has a point, we're screwed when they get us and all of our plans will be wasted. I first thought of seeing those men with Zion and then Celestine's mini packs, but then I remember.

Aren't you previously the high-ranked warrior of Azguard? You and Auntie Eclipsa we're the best warriors we have in our history. Maybe there's something you can do, and it's been a while since you retired, right? One more thing, what is the use of these humans? I can sense that they come along the way here prepared. They have the confidence to get here, so I think they can fight. Isn't it enough?

We have a great chance if they get along. I still remember when we got back, Celestine was one of those who helped Crystal when we were kids. She brought her home full of injuries from physical training and unconsciousness. I will never forget that because she stood up for the good she did for my cousin. I'm thankful that she saw Crystal and not those with evil intentions or opponents then.

It was a nightmare for my cousin because she was too young to be a victim of many things. Auntie Eclipsa had just died then so many tried to leave the palace because the King was still mourning. Crystal shared the anger and responsibility that was for her Father.

I just regret that I was not by her side at those times to sympathize with her. Themedeus and I need to study, so we have to go far away from Azguard, it's also one of the reasons why we got close to each other.

But then, the replacement for all of it was Crystal being distant and cold to me. It was too late for me to know everything that happened in the palace, and I didn't know how to approach her to say hello.

We can do that, I returned to the reality of hearing that old woman with Zion speak.

    They call her Auntie, right?

She has positive vibes in her aura, and it appears to me that she never faces a problem that she can't solve. When her eyes met mine, she smiled genuinely, so I looked closely at her face and figured out she looks familiar to me. I just can't remember where I saw her.

Auntie Zein … Zion called her.

    So, that's her name? Interesting.

The old woman gazed at her nephew. Why? I thought you'll save Crystal at all costs, then why are you backing off? Zion just shook his head. Then, there's no issue. We'll be even easier because we have him on our side, right? This will be fun!

Zion didn't say anything, he just rolled his eyes. My attention turned to the man who was looking at me, the one who was with Zion and was hurt by Themedeus before, he was shocked, so he quickly averted his gaze.

Hmm, it looks like he wasn't the same guy that we encountered last time. He looks full tough and strong, right now, maybe Themedeus just really wanted him then.

W-What is it? he asks, stammering.

Do you want to get back at Themedeus? I muttered, which made him return to me. You can do that as long as you have the same spirit you have, right now …

I noticed that he opened his mouth but no words came out, he did not expect what I said. My job is done here, it seems like they already knew what to do, so I will just help them along the way to succeed.

I stood up and they all looked at me. I'm leaving … I said.

Huh? Did I think we still need to make a good plan to defeat Themedeus? Then, why are you leaving? We still have time, it's Zion.

I sighed. I already did my part. You guys can deal with the plan, and I'll just come back tomorrow to check on you. I also can't stay here long, like what I said earlier, I have no intention of going here if I don't see your cars and follow their smells to it. I must take my leave before Themedeus knows that I have another agenda, I explained.

Furthermore, I no longer waited for what they would say, and I walked to the door. But then I forgot to inform them about something important, so I stopped.

Last thing … be careful. That weapon hidden in your body is very dangerous to use. It can kill werewolves, and if you used that to hurt some innocent wolves? Crystal will face you. She hates that thing, I stated and continued.

Then I quickly left that place. I head back to the Palace to find a chance to talk to Crystal about Zion. She must know that he was here and trying to save the kingdom.

When I returned to the palace, more guards appeared in every corner of the kingdom. The waiters were busy because of the wedding to be held, and I noticed that those who left me with me earlier had also returned. I wonder where Themedeus is.

I went straight to my room to rest, I deliberately dropped my whole body on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Likewise, I tried to imagine what will happen.

Surely, many will be affected by each other, it will be one of the cruelest fights in history.

Remembering Zion's old companion, I got up to pick up Azguard's history book and re-read what was written there.

I'm certain, I've seen her before. I searched every page about him but found nothing. She's mysterious to me.

    CHAPTER 47 Finding Humans

    Themedeus Point Of View

The next day, I'm dumbfounded when some of my trusted slaves informed me about something that gave me goosebumps.

Those pests humans are getting on my nerves. I can't imagine how they manage to get here and use the portal.

Master Themedeus, we have seen their trucks near the portal, but we can't destroy it, Wise told me, as he led the group of slave wolves.

Anger eats me. Why is that?!

There's a strange thing inside it, every time we come near their vehicles, we become weak. Until now, two of our comrades are still unconscious because they touched the thing, he replied.

I was even angrier at what I found out. How dare they! They must have left something strange there so that they would not be moved in case we saw it. How smart!

I guess that the man of Crystal is the instigator of everything. That man! Has he not yet realized or been satisfied with what I did to him before? Tsk! I'll give him more then.

By the time I know where they are, this world will be their grave. They will never be able to return to their world of life. I will have the last laugh! I'm going to be the most powerful werewolf ever, and it's a win-win situation for me. When I've put away all the clutter, I will also rule the human world.

You come with me! I pointed there next to Wise the slave. We'll check that thing!

I got up from sitting on the throne and then left the others in the room. I will not let the weak like them be a hindrance to my plan. Furthermore, I'm close enough to claim it.

Not only that, but I had better go through the King first to see how it is. He became weak after two days, it turned out that he had been in pain for a long time, so it was a good thing that he was able to leave the role of Crystal to me. He was also dumb.

Now, I'll take advantage of everything I can get and take the opportunity. I'm no longer scared of the King, he's just a tool for me to obey his most beloved son.

When I entered his room, I saw Neon, who was guarding. Wrong timing. They both looked at me as I approached them.

    Themedeus … Adviser Neon said.

He was close to the King, so it's no wonder why he's here.

I ignored him and turned to my Uncle, who looked like rubbish. However, I need to change my emotions in front of him.

How are you doing? I asked, pretending to be concerned about his illness.

He slowly moved his right hand which looked like he wanted to tell me something.

Arggg … aack … he said, but I don't understand such things.

I gazed back at Neon. How is his condition?

No chance, he was weak enough to say a word. I already got him the best doctors we had in this Kingdom and also from another, but it might be tough for him, he explained.

    Then, he's dying? I asked.

He nodded. Unfortunately, yes. There is no cure for his disease, Themeless. I'm sorry …

I couldn't speak and wondered what was the right expression to make him believe I was sorry for the King.

    Aah … ge-gerrrkk …

Should I cry? No, I won't do that. I sat on the bed and held the King's hand, it was shaking and seemed to want to be removed.

Oh my moon, please do something. I can't just let my Uncle die! He must attend his daughter's wedding tomorrow and be with her soon-to-be family, I said while sobbing.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It's good you came here, Themedeus. How are the wedding preparations? Neon suddenly asked, I pretended to wipe my eyes.

Everything's perfect, I'm going to see Crystal off later. Punishing her is over. Oh! I remember I need to go, I have some important things to handle, I claimed.

I got up and shook my body, then said goodbye to them and left the room. Tch! What a scene! Looks like I'll have to take a bath, coming back later if I would rather not get infected with King's disease.

After leaving the palace, your carriage is waiting to take us to the portal. I saw Chris in the hallway walking, so I stopped your carriage opposite him. He turned to me in surprise.

    T-Themedeus?

What are you doing here? I just saw you leaving, where are you going? I will ask.

He looks tense. Uh, for what … just in town. I'll buy a present for Crystal tomorrow.

Really? Come with us, we can also pass through your town. What gift do you plan to buy?

Ah … watches, I want to buy Crystal something she can use every day, he said.

I nodded. That's nice, hop in.

He seemed hesitant to ride, but eventually, he was also inside the carriage and opposite me.

Chris, you don't have to be so cold and distant to me. Are you still angry about my decisions? he didn't answer. Fine, let's say I'm selfish. So what? We were best friends and cousins before! I hope you understand why I'm doing this. Can't you just be happy for me? Hmm, Chris? Just like the old times.

    CHAPTER 48 You're a Monster

    Themedeus Point Of View

    O-Okay … he timidly answered.

I smiled. Good. How was it when you went to the town yesterday to announce our cousin's wedding?

He was stunned for a moment.

Uhm, it's nice. They were just surprised about it, he said.

When did you come back? I will ask.

He was off again. He's weird today.

    Did something happen yesterday?

A-Around in the afternoon? I'm not sure, though. I just go to my room once I come back and get some nap, he muttered.

Likewise, I don't know what's going on with him, but I don't care. He can't do anything but be with me.

Uhmm, you? Where are you going? Going to see another kingdom? he suddenly asked.

I didn't expect that. I shook. No, I responded. I'm going to the portal …

There he goes again, his eyes widening about what he heard. Does it seem like he didn't know? Well, what should I expect? He's not close with humans and we both have no interest in them unless they have things that can get my attention.

O-Okay? You're going back to the world of humans, then? Have a safe trip, he said.

    Thank you …

After a few minutes, we got to town, so Chris came down. I saw him enter a watch and jewelry shop before leaving.

It was a normal ride again, I'm the only one inside the carriage while the slave and driver are together outside.

It took a while before we reached the portal, and even before I got down, I could smell your human smell.

Once the carriage stopped, I went down to observe the whole place closely with your staff Wise who is a slave.

    The portal looks normal.

I just followed your slave to a waterfall, where I saw your vehicle used by people. I even looked
