About this ebook

Henry: 'Are you ready for our engagement celebration, my love?'
Daisy: 'Congratulations on the engagement! To my closest friend!'
How could they send me messages as if nothing had happened after betraying me?!
Clenching my teeth, the more I thought about it, the more ironic those two messages seemed. One from my chosen mate, my fiancé, and the other from my closest friend. How could they have sex on the day of my engagement?
"Just a little while longer, and you will be engaged to your beloved Aurora. Aren't you excited?" Daisy asked Henry, panting as she spoke.
Henry smiled, lifting one of her legs onto his shoulder and thrusting forcefully, causing Daisy to scream, "You know I've always loved you the most, Daisy."
The thought of their conversation made me sick. I couldn't accept this, nor was I willing to let them off the hook. I recorded their scene on my phone and played it for all pack members at the engagement.
Henry was filled with regret and agony, begging me to forgive him. But would he receive my forgiveness?

Mated with My Former Alpha's Enemy - Lance Lunar

    CHAPTER 62 Please Save Nightfall

    Aurora's POV

Edward let out a cold laugh as he dropped his shoulders against the wall behind him, crossing his arms over his chest. Werewolves going missing? How come no one has heard of this? And why have you, an Alpha, taken on the role of a private detective?

It wouldn't be easy for you to understand. Your intelligence wouldn't allow for that.

Very well, as long as these two are in the same space, a fight is inevitable. I should have thought of this earlier.

After receiving the news, I immediately invited Edsel over, but before we could discuss the matter at hand the two had started to argue again.

Enough, stop arguing. So when did this happen? I carefully examined the information that Henry had brought me.

Over four weeks ago, but there is no commonality among the wolves. Not age, gender or place of residence. However, it is strange that four strong and powerful werewolves have disappeared silently within a week.

What is so strange about that? If the neighbour's dog goes missing you should just look for it right?

If I could find lost items, I should help you find your brain first.

I used the data to cover my face, just to hide me laughing.

Edward noticed my movement and gave me a somewhat resentful look, causing me to quickly compose myself and focus on the materials I was holding.

Edsel has been travelling alone, searching for the whereabouts of the witch. He started from the central continent and made his way back to Ambersy Pack, where he exchanged information with his father before taking a new route.

One week has passed, and just like the team Edward and I sent out, he has gained no information. That mysterious witch and Lucas seemed to have disappeared from the continent without a trace.

However, he did discover one strange thing. The disappearance of the four werewolves that was mentioned in the information packet I was holding.

On the mainland, the sudden disappearance of one or two wolves is not a big problem, the issue lies in the location of where the wolves have gone from.

Circle the locations where the four wolves went missing, take a look. Edsel came over with a map and sat down next to me, emitting a pleasant scent of perfume. He was dressed in clean and sophisticated clothes, he must have taken a break before coming to us.

However, my attention was focused on the map in his hand, where he had highlighted the four locations, they were connected and coincided with the route on the map. This means that the person responsible for making the werewolves disappear is moving along a specific path.

It fits perfectly with Lucas. He is fleeing, maybe he is trying to hide his tracks.

Do you also think it's them? Yes, I can't think of any other reason or person who would cause such a coincidence.

I pondered with a furrowed brow, But what are they taking werewolves for? Suddenly a teacup appeared between the two of us.

Looking up, Edward stood in front of us with a serious expression, holding the cup in his hand. He purposefully separated the two of us from our huddle.

Don't blame him for his actions, Aurora. Men who are too possessive can be very scary. Edsel shrugged as he spoke and leisurely leaned back against the sofa.

I pressed my hand against my temple, worried that these two would never stop arguing. But luckily, Edward was in a good mood today and ignored Edsel. He placed the cup in my hand gently and cast a causal glance at the map in my hand. If you want to know, go and take a look.

The three of us quickly came to an agreement. Although these Alphas were reluctant to travel together, we all shared a common goal - to find the witch and Lucas. Edward reluctantly allowed Edsel into a prepared car.

As we were about to leave, an unexpected person appeared at the entrance of the Pack.

What do you want? My expression showed pure disgust, I couldn't be bothered to try to hide it. Looking at the miserable man in front of me, I only felt confused. Why has he come?

Aurora... The person called my name desperately before he took a step forward. Before Edward could act, I raised my hand and a blue light appeared at my fingertips.

Step any closer, and I'll freeze your mouth shut, Henry.

Since the fight with their pack, the scoundrel Henry hasn't contacted me again. After all, experiencing repeated blows from both me and Daisy would make anyone feel down for a while.

I had heard from a pack member that he decided to kick the pregnant Daisy and her brother, out of the pack. Then, due to the spiritual spring being exposed, the Nightfall Pack was targeted by many of the surrounding packs. Without Lucas' protection, the surrounding packs were mounting to take the spiritual spring. I thought this fool would be too busy to leave his pack, let alone to come to find me.

Aurora, I know it's too late to say anything now, but I still love you...

As soon as the words were said, two figures flashed by in front of him, Edward and Edsel stood in front of him in a rare unison.

Love? Edward's expression could only be described as extremely ugly.

I couldn't even draw the engergy to give a reaction to the words, I only sighed in frustration and said, So you abandoned your pack to come here and say that?

Henry was startled by the imposing auras of the two Alphas in front of him, his words rushed out of him, Please, Aurora, please save my pack. Please save Nightfall!

I looked at him with my arms crossed, and burst out laughing, Are you kidding me? Do you really think that I would help you?

Given his pack's situation, it wouldn't matter if we kill him now. Edward stood in front of me, offering a very tempting suggestion.

No, no! Please! We can make a deal! Henry begged.

What do you even have to offer to us right now?

The spiritual spring! I can give you the spiritual spring! Just like I gave it to Lucas before!

Henry's eyes lit up as if had found his lifesaving straw, shouting his offer loudly. In the next second, he was lifted up by his neck, Edward's grip unwavering.

If it weren't for your cowardly pack, I wouldn't have wasted so many years. Edward squinted his eyes as he tightened his hands.

He was right. If the Nightfall Pack hadn't shamelessly surrendered to Lucas as if they had no backbone. Them allowing Lucas to continually use the Spirit Spring to increase his strength was what brought so many Packs to their knees and under his control.

Henry's feet were desperately attempting to make contact with the ground, his face was flushed bright red and his lips were turning purple. I am now 100% sure that Edward wants to kill him.

I...I know who the witch is!

A faint, strained voice broke the silence. In an instant, Edward dropped Henry to the ground.

I quickly walked over to Henry, who was coughing continuously. What did you say?

You have to promise to protect my pack first.

I looked at Edward and he was looking directly back at me. The look in his eyes seemed to be telling me that the decision was my own.

Henry was stuck either way, if he lies he will be killed straight away. Although he is a bastard, he isn't a fool, so the information he provides will be true.

It is true that compared to Edward, who is Lucy's biological son, Henry would know a lot more about Lucas' situation.

Okay, I promise you. Now tell me, who is that witch? I stood by Edward's side looking down at the pittyfull form of Henry.

I...I don't know exactly who she is.

Are you trying to play me? I lifted my hand, a gust of cold wind blowing, ready to freeze the bastard.

But I have a photo! Henry frantically took out his phone and opened a photo, passing it to me. Edward narrowed his eyes and leaned in to take a look, his pupils suddenly dilating.

Damn it! That's impossible, how could it be her!

CHAPTER 63 Please Take Me with You

    Aurora's POV

Whenever Lucas comes to heal himself, he never allows anyone else to be with him. But the guards stationed outside have said that sometimes they can hear hushed whispers coming from inside. I was curious, so I hid in a secluded spot and took this photo.

The angle of the photo was odd but, I could see two people standing by the Spirit Spring. The person with his back to the camera appears to be Lucas based on his clothing, while the person facing the camera is an extremely beautiful woman with striking purple hair.

The woman is dressed in a black robe, and with her purple hair, it makes sense that she would be the mysterious witch who hangs by Lucas' side constantly.

Henry began to explain, as he spoke, I watched Edward's face become increasingly sombre.

Send the photo to me, and leave right now. Later on, we will send people out to protect your pack. You can also announce to the public that Swiftfoot Pack and Timberwolf Pack have reached a cooperation with you.

I finished speaking and turned, refusing to look at him any longer. I grab Edward's arm, who was lost in thought, and pulled him into the car.

    Is everything okay, Edward?

No, sorry. I didn't mean to make you worry. He turned his head and smiled at me, then dropped a light kiss on my hand before taking my hand in both of his and rubbing it gently. I was just remembering something from earlier.

    The witch in that photo...

Yes, I saw the woman in the picture when I was a kid, Edward said seriously. But in my memory, she is a werewolf, I'm sure of it.

What? I asked in shock. Edward launched into his childhood story.

Back then, the Timberwolf Pack was not as strong and prosperous as it is today, and Lucas was just an average werewolf. Edward's mother came from a powerful pack, and the two were brought together as fated mates.

After getting married, Lucas began to feel dissatisfied with the current situation. He had always been weak, which led to an abnormal desire for power.

My mother said that he always researched demonic medicines and spells, hoping to improve his own strength but none of them worked. Edward tightened his grip on my hand, Until on day, this woman appeared.

Lucas' obsession had already grown to an alarming level. All he could focus on was his power. And Edward's mother was forgotten. She could only manage trivial matters in the pack all day and rarely had any chance to see Lucas.

One day, Lucas brought the woman in the photo back into the pack, at that time, her hair was still black. The woman claimed to be well-versed in creating potions and was hired by Lucas to be the specialist pharmacist of the pack. But her real focus was enhancing Lucas' strength.

Unexpectedly, her solution really worked. When the woman arrived, Lucas' strength greatly increased. But greed is a black hole that can never be filled. After obtaining power, he wanted more and more. The Dark Dawn began from his greed.

I didn't even know how or where my mother died, all I remember is coming home and she was gone. When Lucas came back, he told me that my mother had died on the battlefield. Edward looked at me with a lonely expression, his eyes fixed on the ring that he gave me. The ring that was originally his mother.

But my mother never went to the battlefield. He gritted his teeth and said, his fierce gaze looking into empty space, probably lost in his memories. I couldn't sense any witch's aura from her, I was convinced she was a werewolf.

This is so strange, he furrowed his brow.

According to my understanding, Edward had always been strong ever since he was a child, and he awakened his own wolf at a very early age. Moreover, even if Edward's skills were ignored, it's impressive for a witch to successfully hide her presence in a pack of werewolves.

As soon as we find them, everything will be revealed. I comforted him as the car came to a slow stop during our conversation.

This is the village where the fourth missing werewolf lived, Blake said softly, then got out of the car and opened the door for us.

I helped Edward out of the car and exchanged a glance with Edsel, who had just gotten out of the car behind us. The four of us looked around at our surroundings.

I never imagined that there would be a place like this on the mainland. Edsel frowned and spoke, stepping onto the desolate land beneath his feet.
