Book preview

Day 1

A month ago, I was a normal player who was living in a brand-new server and trying to get by. I managed to find a village where other players invited me to live with them. Everything was going great until the day I was accused of stealing Wheat, and was kicked out of the village.

Infuriated with their decision, I began trolling and griefing the villagers to get my revenge on them. And now, Notch, the game developer, has made me pay for my crimes. I’ve become Herobrine to help citizens who are in dire need.

What am I supposed to do as Herobrine?! Everyone hates the name Herobrine and it scares everyone away. And now I need to help others to get back to normal? This is insane! I don’t know why Notch has done this to me or what he wants me to accomplish, but this is simply crazy.

I guess I don’t have much of a choice… I should just get over with this as soon as possible, before I get permanently banned from all servers!

Day 2

Well, well… I must say, being Herobrine feels weird. I mean, I never dreamed of becoming Herobrine, but one might think it must be super cool to be him. And I gotta say, it is not. Being Herobrine is super lame… And boring!

I can’t do anything I want, and I can’t choose where to go. Notch spawned me in a different server from the one where I was living, because right now I am in the middle of snowy tundra and I don’t know where I need to go! Notch just said help others, but I don’t see anyone around here.

And how can I help them? If these Patch Notes are true, I can’t craft items anymore, and I can’t lie when speaking to others. This will be hard. I’ve been deceiving and tricking everyone for a month, and now I must act like a goody twoshoes towards others.

Well, I can’t waste too much time here. I should look after other humans who could be living in this world. I don’t know where they are or what kind of help they need, but just sitting here doing nothing won’t help my cause. After all, I don’t want to get permanently banned!

Day 3

I’ve been wandering around in this strange world… What a pain. This is nothing but an empty world filled with trees and snow. Where’s everyone? Where’s the help they need? I guess Notch sent me to the wrong world, because this place is boring.

Let’s see… So, I can’t craft anything but I can place and remove blocks, I can’t lie, and I can even use tools. These rules sure are tough; it means I’ll need to work along with other humans if I want to succeed in my main goal to help others.

But my only problem is I don’t have anyone to help! This is a snowy world and it’s completely empty. Where should I go next? Does Herobrine have any special powers to locate
