Bill Jordan was taught chess on his 7th birthday by his father using a chess set carved by his grandfather. Bill became Victorian Junior chess champion in 1971. He later became Australian junior chess champion, Victorian chess champion, Australian correspondence chess champion, and in 2017 South Australian chess champion. Since the age of 17 Bill Jordan has represented Australia in international chess events in Malaysia, Yugoslavia, Mexico and China. Since 1981 Bill has been a life member and has been president of the Melbourne chess club, one of the oldest chess clubs in the world. QUESTIONING GENDER IDEOLOGY

Why this book?

Until a few months before writing his book, I had not heard the term gender ideology. In the previous year or so, I had heard some people saying that there were more than two genders, then 17 genders, then 100 genders. I later came across YouTube videos on the issue and a whole world of gender ideology, child indoctrination, social transition, puberty blockers and sex reassignment surgery.

What started as a trickle is now a flood of children and young people placed on the transgender production line. Rates of social transitioning, use of experimental drugs and sexual surgery on young people are increasing exponentially. This could get much worse before it gets better, and it is distressing for many people.

A large experiment is well underway on troubled teenagers conditioned to believe that authenticity and happiness are through drugs and surgery. These interventions in children and teenagers have made them life-long medical patients with many years of sexual dysfunction ahead of them. The lack of long-term studies and sexual experience in teenagers who transition means that it will be long before we know the true extent of this dysfunction.

At the time of writing, about 10,000 young people undergo sex-reassignment surgery annually in the USA. Another 100,000 children are socially transitioning, taking puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones. They are all well on the way to eventual sexual reassignment surgery.

Adults have the right to do anything with their bodies as long as it doesn't interfere with the rights of others. What sexual preference an adult has is their business. Nobody is bothered about what you do in private. Adults also have the right to have cosmetic surgery on their own bodies if they want to play that game. However, when it comes to children, that is a different kettle of fish.

Why is this happening? Is this a good thing? If not, what can be done about it? This book is about protecting children from psychological and physical abuse.

Warning

If you believe in gender ideology, you may find this book confronting. You may even become angry or fearful. This is all part of the process. Having your belief system challenged can be a healthy experience.

If you don't believe in gender ideology, seeing some alternative views may be refreshing.

You don't have to agree with everything I say. I want to encourage intelligent thinking and discussion on this critical issue.

Edward DeBono's Six Hats

The Six Thinking Hats is a concept introduced by Edward de Bono in his book of the same name. It's a structured approach to thinking and problem-solving that involves looking at a situation or issue from multiple perspectives, each represented by a different thinking hat. Each hat represents a specific mode of thinking, and individuals or groups can use these modes to explore a problem comprehensively. The Six Thinking Hats are:

White Hat: This represents objective and factual thinking. When wearing the white hat, you focus on the available information, data, and facts about the issue. You analyse and interpret the information without making judgments.

Red Hat: The red hat signifies emotional thinking. When wearing the red hat, you express your emotions, gut feelings, and intuition about the situation. This allows for a subjective and intuitive exploration of the topic.

Black Hat: The black hat represents critical thinking and cautious judgment. When wearing the black hat, you look at the potential risks, downsides, and problems associated with the issue. This mode helps you identify potential pitfalls and challenges.

Yellow Hat: This signifies optimistic thinking. When wearing the yellow hat, you consider the positive aspects, benefits, and opportunities related to the situation. You explore the potential value and advantages.

Green Hat: The green hat represents creative and innovative thinking. When wearing the green hat, you generate new ideas, alternatives, and possibilities to address the issue. This is a mode of brainstorming and lateral thinking.

Blue Hat: The blue hat manages the thinking process itself. When wearing the blue hat, you direct the discussion, set the agenda, and organise the use of the other hats. It also involves thinking about the overall thinking process and its goals.

The Six Thinking Hats approach fosters diverse thinking and collaborative problem-solving within teams or individual decision-making. By consciously switching between these different modes of thinking, individuals can thoroughly explore an issue from various angles and make more well-rounded and informed decisions.

The hats are designed to bring out the best thinking in everyone.

An interesting exercise would be to apply the six thinking hats to gender ideology.

Other Points of View

Seeing other points can be highly challenging. Michael Hewitt-Gleeson once worked with Edward DeBono, who invented the term lateral thinking and thinking tools such as the 6 Thinking Hats.

Hewitt-Gleeson once said It is easier to burn someone at the stake than see their point of view. This was certainly true in the time of the Spanish Inquisition. Bloody Mary burnt hundreds of heretics at the stake in her short reign over England for terrible crimes like making errors while reciting the Lord's Prayer. These days, it is easier to sack or censor someone questioning the trans narrative than to see their point of view.

Hewitt-Gleeson also said Whatever your point of view, there is another one twice as good. This is a practical idea, as you can do this with whatever you are doing. Imagine there is an easier, quicker, more efficient way of doing it than the current way.

Encountering other points of view can be emotionally painful. It would be best if you had patience and remain in a calm state.

Intimidation

Hewitt-Gleeson said that research found that people tend to use intimidation to attempt to impose a point of view on others. Examples of methods of intimidation include:

Name calling.

Personal attacks.

Blaming.

Shame and guilt.

Ostracising.

Cancel Culture uses all of the above and more.

What is Cancel Culture?

Cancel culture is a modern phenomenon in which individuals or entities are called out publicly and on social media for their perceived offensive actions, statements, or behaviours. The term cancel in this context implies withdrawing support, boycotting, or otherwise socially isolating the individual or entity being criticised.

Cancel culture often involves a swift and passionate response from many people who believe that the actions or statements of the targeted individual or entity are offensive, harmful, or unacceptable in some way. This response can include:

Social Media Campaigns: Hashtags and campaigns are created to encourage others to join in boycotting or criticising the individual or entity.

Boycotts: People may stop financially supporting the individual or entity by not buying their products, attending their events, or consuming their content.

Public Shaming: Individuals are publicly called out and criticised for their actions, sometimes damaging their reputation and career.

Professional Consequences: Cancel culture can lead to individuals losing job opportunities, sponsorships, or business partnerships due to the backlash.

Cancel culture has faced criticism for its potential to be overly harsh, lacking due process, and sometimes leading to mob mentality. Cancel culture discourages open dialogue and growth, as individuals may fear expressing unpopular opinions for fear of being targeted.

In the context of gender ideology, Cancel Culture frequently attacks those who question the gender narrative.

The power of the transgender lobby is magnified by significant corporations that silence critics of the sexual reassignment of children. Target banned Abigail Shrier's book Irreversible Damage, the Transgender Craze Seducing our Girls , Amazon banned Ryan T. Anderson's book When Harry Became Sally. Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter have all removed content that challenges the transgender narrative.

Is Cancel Culture offensive, harmful, or unacceptable in some way? Is Cancel Culture arrogant? Is Cancel Culture a form of abuse?

Cancel Culture can be a form of bullying. If cancel culture tactics were used by an individual, they might face criminal charges. Because cancel culture involves mobs, they can get away with what they could not do as individuals.

What is Social Contagion?

Social contagion, also known as behavioural contagion or cultural contagion, refers to the phenomenon where ideas, emotions, behaviours, or information spread rapidly and broadly within a social group or a population. It is analogous to the spread of infectious diseases. Still, instead of physical germs, social contagion involves the transmission of thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, or actions from person to person through social interactions.

Key characteristics of social contagion include:

Rapid Spread: Social contagion often occurs swiftly, with ideas or behaviours spreading rapidly through networks of interpersonal connections.

Imitation and Mimicry: Individuals tend to mimic or imitate the behaviours, emotions, or ideas they observe in others, especially within their social circles.

Emotional Influence: Emotional states can be contagious, and one person's emotions can influence those around them, leading to shared moods and attitudes.

Amplification and Reinforcement: As ideas or behaviours spread, they can gain momentum and
