"संवेदना" एक लघु काव्य संकलन है, जिसमे विविध विषयों पर कविताएं लिखी गई है।

 

इस संकलन में सामाजिक परिवेश, परिवार, प्रकृति, एवम ईश्वर प्रदत्त निसर्ग का जहा एक तरफ उल्लेख है, वही दूसरी ओर नारी शक्ति के प्रति आस्था तथा स्त्री के दोहन के प्रति चिंता प्रकट होती है। इस संकलन में विषयों की विविधता इसे एक विशेष स्वरूप प्रदान करता है।

 

कविता की भाष में हिंदी के मूल तत्वों के साथ समझौता नहीं किया गया, किंतु पाठको को सरलता से ग्राह्य हो इस पर भी ध्यान दिया गया है।

 

यह शेखर देशमुख का प्रथम काव्य संकलन "संवेदना" आज के सामाजिक संदर्भ में सचमुच खरा उतरता है।

प्रस्तुत काव्य संकलन मेरे स्वर्गीय पिता मधुकर पुरुषोत्तम देशमुख,

जो स्वयं भी मराठी भाषा के कवि थे,

उनके श्री चरणों में समर्पित करता हूं।

मेरे बाल्यकाल के आदरणीय गुरुजनों तथा सान्निध्य मिला उन सभी साहित्यकारों को यह काव्यांजलि समर्पित है।

प्राक्कथन

संवेदनाओं पर आधारित भारतीय समाज, आज बहुत तेज़ी से बदल रहा है। रिश्ते-नाते जो प्रेम के धागे से बुने होते थे, आज व्यक्तिगत लाभ-हानि पर आधारित हो चलें हैं। वे पवित्र रिश्ते, जो बहुत आस्था से निभाए जाते थे, अब अर्थ के तराज़ू पर तुलते मिलते हैं।
