    A Stranger

    I am but a stranger,

    In a strange land,

    Surrounded by danger,

    Yet with God I stand.

    Bombarded on each side,

    By the forces of sin,

In God's will I shall abide,

    Hearing Him above the din.

    I know I cannot cease,

    To follow my God's will.

Even if I never find peace,

    I will follow Him still.

    A stranger I will stay,

    Until Judgement Day.

    You Asked...

    You asked for bread,

    I gave you none,

    My faith was dead,

    Didn’t glorify the Son.

    You asked for heat,

    I left you cold,

    My faith suffered defeat,

    For Him I wasn’t bold.

    You asked for clothing,

I gave you not a tatter,

    My faith turn to loathing,

    His will didn’t matter.

    Will I learn to give,

    Letting my faith live?

    Dry Land

    To a spiritually arid place,

    All too often I go,

    Where there are no traces,

    Of the Living Water's flow.

    I falter in the dust,

    As even breathing is hard,

    Living without trust,

    My soul so deeply charred.

    I can find no relief,

    In the dry, barren land,

    Giving the Spirit grief,

    As by self-will I stand.

As in the heat I burn,

    Let the Living Water return.

    Praise

    When my voice I raise,

    As the day goes by,

    Do I complain or praise,

When to my God I cry?

    Do I usually complain,

About the state I am in,

    Or faithful remain,

In the midst of the din?

    When life falls apart,

    Do I praise Him still,

    Will I let doubt start,

Or do I seek His will?

    When I raise my voice,

    Will I choose to rejoice?

    From On Soaring & Sinking

    Cold World

    When the world turns cold,

    Seemingly silent and still,

We need to ever be bold,

    In doing God's perfect will.

    When temperatures fall,

    Into the danger zone,

    We must heed God's call,

    To help those all alone.

    Even if there is snow,

    Covering all the ground,

We need to let people know,

    God's warmth can be found.

As the sun always shines above,

So is the certainty of God's love.
