Heartfelt Poems of Inspiration is eloquently expressed in content, style, and meaning. It is a collection of verses that certainly lives up to its title. The verses are well written, uplifting, and meaningful, and nowhere are these more evident than in “Hang in There.”

Just hang in there.
No matter how hard things may seem,
Jesus Christ has been there for you.
Remember what he did that Friday afternoon,
He stayed right there, so you can do it too.
Just hang in there.

Many of the verses are poetic reminders of God’s spiritual and material gifts to the world, as in “Life.”

Life is something we should cherish,
As every precious moment passes.
We should live our life day by day
So we can handle whatever comes our way.
God gave his life so we may live.

God’s importance in my life is without question, but this collection also reveals that I hold dear to my heart friends and family.

A father is so precious,
Just like our own dear mother.
A father is so precious,
He is like a real close brother.
A father is so precious,
Sometimes it’s hard to tell.

I dedicate my writing to my late mother (Jeannette Strong Phillips). Inspired by the faith that she exhibited through her battle with cancer and heart disease, I expressed my feelings through poetry and preaching. The verses are well-written, uplifting, and meaningful, and nowhere are these more evident than in “Hold On” and “Do Not Quit”. If you are at the end of your rope, Do not quit I have got some hope; If things have got you down, Do not quit because God is around. Many of the verses are poetic reminders of God’s spiritual and material gifts to the world, as in “Blessings”. The blessings from God are joy divine, The blessings from heaven are yours and mind; The blessings from God are peace within, The blessings from heaven are ours to win. God’s importance in my life is without question, but this collection also reveals that I hold dear to my heart friends and family. A mother is someone who needs a rest, A mother is someone who you can depend; A mother is someone who is your friend, A mother is someone who God has chosen.
