About this ebook
This book has been developed over the lifetime of the author. The words upon these pages are prayers written in the form of poems. Many of them have music to go with them that reside in the mind and heart of the author. The words and music of each poem arrived all at once as a result of personal experiences of the author or members of the communities she has served. Sometimes the inspiration was a radio show or a sermon. Each poem represents another step in the author's journey with Jesus. May this documented journey help draw you to a closer walk with Jesus.

Peace Within a Broken Heart - Darice Ennis
Lord, You Know
Lord, remind me every day
That whatever comes my way,
You know. You know.
Whether it is joy or trial,
Whether it is frown or smile,
You know. You know.
And as each day passes by
Often, I may wonder why,
Happiness and sorrow come and go.
At those times, remind me, Lord, You know.
Lord, remind me every day
That whatever comes my way,
You know. You know.
You know what my heart can handle,
What these eyes must see to receive and believe.
I trust that You are always here,
Listening through all my tears.
You let me cry and laugh and help me grow,
Closer to You every day.
I want to follow in Your Way.
And You know. You know.
You know, Lord. You know.
One So Tiny
One so tiny
Growing inside of me
As each day passes by.
Moment by moment,
Spinning and turning
Without a reason why.
You could be either boy or girl,
Mom and Daddy, really don’t mind.
Just keep growing
Healthy and strong, child,
So I can hold you in these arms of mine.
One so tiny
Growing inside of me
As each day passes by.
Moment by moment,
Spinning and turning
Without a reason why.
Mommy loves you.
No matter what happens
Even if the Lord takes you away.
But the Lord willing, with our hearts ready,
With us, you’ll get to stay.
Abortion Isn’t an Answer
A woman learns there is a life within her womb,
But she fears she is not prepared to raise a child so soon.
Oh, why do they allow this enough to be,
Reason to kill the unborn baby?
The fetus
is an impersonal way to say,
"I don’t believe it is a baby yet, so it’s okay."
Oh, how can one who does so often heal,
Not find the power to say, I will not kill
?
I lost our son. He was born three months premature.
Sometimes I wonder if I will bear children in the future.
Now we may still have an option,
Though, someday, we may rely on adoption.
Another twenty seconds, an unborn baby dies.
No one ever seems to hear the barren woman’s cries.
A million unborn children at Heaven’s gate,
None of them quite knowing why this was their fate.
Someday I hope their parents’ finally see,
Why morals cannot be based on society.
Even unborn children are in God’s plan;
Reconsider your other options, please, while you still can.
Save the Whales
Children are dying, babes within
