MORNING GOD

I want to thank you for late last night

As I could not sleep

Trying to figure out this internal fight

I remembered to count my blessings, so steep

You have given me so much

But most of all is your touch

When I’m afraid and awake at night

I feel your arms around me tight

So many journeys near and far

We are never all alone

Your presence is in yonder star

And even in a quiet song

Never let me lose your love

May I walk in your light?

Keep my eyes looking up above

Sharing my strength in your sight

1 Thessalonians 5

16 Be joyful always;

17 pray continually;

18 give thanks in all circumstances,

for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

WAR’s PRAYER

Oh God in heaven

How we prayed for this sight

To see our boys return

And not stay in the Middle East fight

Let us not forget

Who granted this wish?

Nor what made it fit

Among the heavy mist

As we get into trouble

Which we don’t know how to mend

We get very subtle

And we promise never to sin

Please continue with your love

And always grant your peace

Shower us all with doves

Never let your love cease

Help our men to heal

Return to their once daily lives

Tell them it’s alright to feel

After all of the pain and strife

God in your Holy mercy

There are no words to say

What a wonderful blessing

We have this beautiful day

BELIEF

You can read the Bible from front to back

Quote verses full of fact

Talk about your great belief

And how it provides all with relief

Attend the church every day

Know which words you need to say

Sing about God’s receiving grace

How one day you’ll see His face

Words or ways won’t put evil at bay

You must keep God in your heart to stay

With each breathe you take

Know that it is His to make

Pray for Him to walk with thee

Show reverence by kneeling on your knees

Before you speak of His love

Ask Him to give you the words from above

Remember He must be inside your heart and soul

For Him to make you into His mold

So beg Him to stay with you

And you will always have problems few

A LOWLY PERSON that I am

A lowly person that I am

Created for a purpose by the Lamb

Taking wrong turns here and there

Praying His forgiving grace, He’ll share

Thinking I could control my life

Resulting in years of strife

After falling many times on my knees

I began to see more than the forest and trees

When I could not sleep at night

God would come and hold me tight

Love and peace would fill my soul

Then I would rest without the sinful cold

To share with others about His saving grace

Builds inside of me, the desire to see His face

To give Him the honor and praise, He is due

Is a task that I wish to do

So fill my heart and soul with
