About this ebook

I was inspired to publish this mainly by my granddaughter. I had been writing for a few years already. The material was on three-by-five notebooks. My granddaughter gathered these notebooks and wanted to put them in a book for our family. While transferring the material form notebooks to paper, she suggested that I should try to get them published. That was about a year ago. So I decided to see if someone was willing to take a chance, and Christian Faith Publishing came up. Many of my poems were inspired while attending church service. I personally believe that the Holy Spirit was involved in some, if not all, of these writings. They were about the constant battle between good and evil or darkness and light. For those who believe, it is an inspiration to continue and share belief when appropriate. The unbelievers will most likely never even look at this. Maybe it will inspire someone to turn to God and find the peace in the showdown of his light. The philosophical parts are the "To Be" verses. These may cause some to have a deeper thought about things we may witness on a daily basis. Most are common sense, some have more than one train of thought, and others are kind of blunt. Some of the poems are political in nature while others have a different aspect, all the while keeping in mind Satan trying to inspire people to turn from God. The universal love of God and the giving of his life for each of us who believe allows us to start a new life through Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for our sin.

    Salvation Story - Jerry Warren

    Forgive

    In our journey

    Through this lifetime

Doing things of which we’re sorry

    With no reason nor rhyme

    Try to set things right

    With an apology

    If you are not contrite

For most, it’s wait and see

    The power to forgive

    Rests solely with the forgiver

    Remember, God lets you live

    Judgement is His to deliver

    Forgiveness of transgression

    Can be hard to do

    It’s good for soul transition

Makes you feel good about you

God has forgiven sin for all

To receive it there is a clue

Accept Christ and stop the fall

From grace and get your due

    Forge

    Our life event

    Is what gives us shape

    Are all God-sent

    None we should resent

    From things in our past

    Our future could be determined

    Memories we can’t outlast

    Lives they could amend

    Age causes memories to dim

    No need to recall

    Depression may come from them

    May cause a mental flaw

    We need to forgive

    Others and ourselves

It’s a better way to live

No bad memories on the shelves

    Forgiveness can turn

    A bad memory to good

    From this we learn

To act the way we should

    Satan’s forge is wrong

    God’s forge is right

    To which do you belong

Try to stay in God’s light

    Forget

    Forgive and forget

    A term often used

    The mind may remit

    If it isn’t skewed

    Forgiveness is a kind

    Of a way to live

    To forget is sublime

Through God, is how you give

    With age memories fade

    Event recall is a sketch

    Going from light to shade

    Imagination begins to stretch

    Someone did you wrong

Will you ever make it right?

    Forget is where you belong

    Dwell in Christ Light

    Your sin God forgave

    Your transgression He forgot

With His blood, He did save

    With His blood, your
