About this ebook
I was inspired to publish this mainly by my granddaughter. I had been writing for a few years already. The material was on three-by-five notebooks. My granddaughter gathered these notebooks and wanted to put them in a book for our family. While transferring the material from notebooks to paper, she suggested that I should try to get them published. That was about a year ago. So I decided to see if someone was willing to take a chance, and Christian Faith Publishing came up.
Many of my poems were inspired while attending church service. I personally believe that the Holy Spirit was involved in some, if not all, of these writings. They were about the constant battle between good and evil or darkness and light. For those who believe, it is an inspiration to continue and share belief when appropriate. The unbelievers will most likely never even look at this. Maybe it will inspire someone to turn to God and find the peace in the shadow of his light.
The philosophical parts are the “To Be” verses. These may cause some to have a deeper thought about things we may witness on a daily basis. Most are common sense, some have more than one train of thought, and others are kind of blunt.
Some of the poems are political in nature while others have a different aspect, all the while keeping in mind Satan trying to inspire people to turn from God.
The universal love of God and the giving of his life for each of us who believe allows us to start a new life through Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for our sin.

Drop Your Rock - Jerry D. Warren
Life/Death
We are all born
Our life’s ventures await
We will be either happy or forlorn
Enjoy life and all your fate
A life is given to us
To live as best we can
It should be Christ we trust
On ideals we take a stand
This life I cherish
It, from God I did receive
It is at times nightmarish
At times it’s hard to believe
With luck, Christ I will find
My sin He will relieve
As with Jesus Christ I bind
The Holy Spirit I receive
I should not be afraid to die
With Christ I will always be
To proclaim Him, I will be not shy
He will set my soul free
I will try to not let
The fear of death rule my existence
I will look forward to each new sunset
While fearing death I’ll have resistance
When facing the reaper’s knife
I will try to smile and not fret
Accepting with calm my fading life
For eternal life through Christ I get
No One Left Except God
I am old
All my friends have died
Not long my hand will fold
Death cannot be denied
I will continue to write
My poem and some prose
About Christ I’m not contrite
In God’s Spirit I grow
Death awaits us
Both the old and young
Christ is who you trust
When the last song is sung
Quote
Death awaits no Man
When it’s our time we go
On our deeds for God we stand
After this, only God will know
When your time is up
Time to return to the sod
Friends gone, tip your last cup
No one left, except God
Maximum
A maximum is reached
In most all of life’s facet
The last particle is leached
At times it is just, tacit
The maximum sentence
Is life without parole
A prison can be intense
If on death row you enroll
A maximum weight
On which an airplane can fly
Whether it’s man or freight
Science and physics do not lie
Is there a maximum in space?
God does not have an end
We Christian believers of the human race
On God’s word we stand
For God has no limits
Any needs, God will create
For this world, His Son He commits
God’s limits not up for debate
Maximum life is attained
As Christians were fraternal
But what does remain
Is accept Christ for life eternal
Covenant
Agreements have been reached
Between individuals and nations
Every day, they are breached
This has happened since His creation
Two people agree
To live together in matrimony
Is it love or lust that be
It could end in acrimony
Union and company sign
Contract on raises and wages
Production is first in
